The burners do indeed burn like a thousand suns which is why I bought the stove in the first place. The broiler worked great first time out and the interior blue of the oven is very pleasing. I spent months researching gas stoves and then spent weeks worrying about buying this stove. I researched stoves obsessively. I had wanted a profession style stove like a Vulcan.     • Love this Range
My old oven had an electronic display that unexpectedly quit when it was only three years old. After trying to replace and fix it, to no avail, I was looking for something a little more low-tech, and high functioning. I saw the name and, of course, was intrigued by this machine aptly named from the god of Norse mythology. I have had this range for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. It is easy to run, easy to clean, and it continues to work consistently with no problems. I also love using a cast iron grill that I purchased separately on the middle burner.     • Thermostat made of cheap aluminum and warranty does not convey
I bought a house with a new Thor SS range. The thermostat knob post is made of cheap aluminum and broke off within the warranty period. Thor's warranty requires original proof of purchase and they did not honor it for me. The repair will cost at least $400.

    • This stove looks great and functions beautifully
Fantastic. Though my basis for comparison was a simple Kenmore unit we got at a local store, the upgrade is absolutely worth the price, and then some. Takes a little getting used to as the cast iron grates make a big difference, as do the much stronger burners. Oven holds temperatures very well. I do miss the drawer underneath the oven that my old one had, but not enough to cause any regrets overall. ... show more

    • Faulty Design
We purchased this stove for an investment house. We installed it, and it looked great. It's a mid range appliance with a high end look. I had to return it. If I could give it a zero star rating I would. The design of the burners is such that you have to hold the knob for 10-30 seconds to keep the flame ignited, and even then it may not stay ignited until the burner has "warmed up". There is no fix for this faulty design, as the user of the stove, you just have to be patient. Imagine having to wait up to a minute or maybe more to get your coffee started every morning. Unacceptable! The specifications are incorrect on the website as well, it WILL NOT level to a 36" standard cabinet height. The adjustable legs are too short and the manufacture does not have longer legs. Nice customer service at THOR but seriously flawed products. Buy the BOSCH. ... show more

    • 3 1/2 years in, oven not working
I bought this range through Home Depot, only because I could order it set up for propane directly. Purchased Aug 5, 2020. Jan 2, 2024 the oven stopped working mid bake. I'm assuming the issue is the ignighter, and have ordered a new one from the company ($125 plus shipping). Disappointed that this happened so soon into my ownership, but other than this, I absolutely LOVE this range. It's a work horse with few bells and whistles (center grill burner is somewhat underpowered - we never use it). Note, because of my location, there are no certified technicians (SE Washington State) anywhere near me, so I'll have to undertake repairs myself. ... show more
