We were building a wooden train set this Christmas for our train-obsessed son. We had a hand-me down plastic set that he loved, but we really wanted to transition to wood for better durability and the ability to add to and grow with him. In the information about this train it is stated that this works only with the Thomas and Friends track sets, and not with wood. We probably did not look through the description enough and missed this. AND, Amazon has their suggestions of items that are purchased together that includes wood tracks. He really loves this train, but it will not stay on the wooden tracks and is way too big to go under bridges and things, so we are going to have to find other ways to use it. This isn’t necessarily a defect or fault on the manufacturer end, but it is something that should be noted for those looking to use with wood tracks. ... show more
