Balls are constantly changing colors which makes it easier to see because with other glow balls I end up only using 3 of the colors because the other 3 colors are hard to see. These color changing ones hit pretty good given what it is. Don't expect to get same distance as a Pro V but if you are playing at night you are having fun. So have fun! I LIKED ALMOST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GLOW IN THE DARK GOLF BALL. EXCEPT IF YOU HAVE A NIGHT TOURNAMENT. THE POTENTIAL IS THERE WILL BE AFEW PLAYERS THAT SWING ABOVE 120 MPH. WHICH WILL CAUSE THIS BALL TO STOP GLOWING. BILL

Have used 3 of these balls so far. They are fun to play with in twilight or the beginnings of night when you just need to trace your shots on the last hole that you want to finish to complete the round as darkness descends. I like the fact that each ball strike resets the battery which is not a feature of most of the other balls in the glow ball category - those shut off automatically after 8-10 minutes maximum. These, by resetting every time, means no chance that you will fail to find them in the darkness. I would estimate that they are about 10% shorter in terms of distance. So if you hit a given club 200 yards, that same club would hit this about 180 yards, so you need to club up accordingly. And I actually like their feel for putting - surprisingly made several medium length putts with these balls and lag putts are very acceptable. Perhaps a tiny bit less lively off the putter face, but the course I play has very fast greens, averaging about 12.5, so that is actually a benefit here. Price is reasonable. No ball is perfect but I give this ball 5 stars because it is very playable and reasonably priced and because the battery light resets with every ball strike. ... show more

I'm not a golfer so why did I buy these? In 2 words: light painting. It's the art of using light to draw while photographing in the dark with a slow shutter. I have flashlights with colored filters and RGB LED wands of assorted sizes, but I wanted something I could swing around to create loops, swirls and ribbons of light. These golf balls fit the bill perfectly. They emit more than enough light for my purposes and with very deep, brilliant hues that show up well in photography. Combine the fact that you get every color of the rainbow in a single kit, approximately 8 minutes of uninterrupted runtime when turned on, and an advertised 40 hours of battery capacity. Best of all, once they die, I can just throw them out at the local driving range instead of tossing them in a landfill. All that for under $25... it's a great deal. If you have any interest in light painting, these make a great tool. I started with using a small wire whisk. Once I lost the first ball, as intertidal and mass overcame the rigidity of the wire skeleton of the whisk, I bought a yard of nylon mesh instead. Cutting out a 6-8" square of mesh, I wove and tied a length of paracord to close the mesh around a ball using a sprung drawstring FOB. Inertia and spring tension keeps the mesh tightly closed around the golf ball, preventing loss and potential injury. Once you've secured the ball, smack it against a hard surface and away you go! ... show more
