  • Yes they are thin, but also mighty
Great little demure reading glasses that I can take everywhere. I have a few in different places such as my office my car my bags. They store very well in the small case which fits just about anywhere without bulk or weight.

  • Extremely usable and effective product. Consider charging issues when placing on a phone case.
These are really nice little readers. That's the TL;DR version. Here's the details... I have very expensive, very complex prescription glasses. They're also progressive bifocals, and do a very nice job overall. But they were designed for computer use, with secondary use for close-up reading and long-range vision; I do 90% of my looking at a distance of about 15-18", and don't usually need much further, or much closer. But I do some electronics bench work, which requires very close inspection, and own a great many older books with VERY tiny type. I have some serviceable clip-on readers, but these looked even better since I can carry them with me all the time and not lose them. They're a little weird to wear at first, since the little nosepieces have serrations on them to hold them in place. It's the eyeglass equivalent of having a cat lick you, as they feel very rough, almost sharp against your skin. You get used to them real quickly though. But I can wear them along with my expensive and complex bifocals and they work absolutely beautifully to read teeny little print with no weird effects like colored borders or fisheyeing. The extremely thin and lightweight case sticks to your phone case (or whatever) with a thin strip of double-sided tape. One piece is installed on the case and just requires you peel the backing and stick it on the phone. That worked perfectly and the tape sticks VERY tightly. I found out how much of an issue this was when I stuck it to the back of my phone case, forgetting that I use Qi wireless charging. One charger still worked okay through the glasses and my regular phone case, but the one on my nightstand wouldn't. I use Qi charging because the USB port on my previous phone wore out and I couldn't charge it anymore, so I avoid putting stress on that $%#!@ port if I can avoid it. So I had to remove the glasses from my phone case, which required very careful slicing and prying with my razor-sharp pocket knife to get it loose. This leaves extremely sticky residue on your phone case and on the glasses case, that needs to be removed before you can apply the handy spare strip of tape they give you with the glasses. Some denatured alcohol and a non-woven bench wipe removed this with a little effort, and I have since replaced the case on the FRONT of the phone instead of the back. So far, it works okay. It complicates some methods of standing the phone up for watching a video that I used to use, but that's okay too, as I have some wonderful pen-and-stylus combos with a built-in phone stand that fix that neatly. We'll see how things go over time, but as far as I can tell, this product is a win, and I've already recommended them to someone. ... show more

  • Always with me and stick them to the back of my phone great product
I’m only giving these four stars but I do love them. They’re the greatest adventure since sliced bread. The problem is that they’re a little expensive actually a lot expensive for what they are, but they do seem to last about a year and I guess that makes it worth it because if I was buying just regular glasses, I would’ve lost them within a month so really I should’ve gave it five stars ... show more

  • Handy and effective
I got this, my second pair of ThinOptics because I love my first (full sized) ones but I wanted something I could easily look over to see things at a distance. This pair fits that task quite well. I can read small print or look at my tablet and also look over the glasses to watch TV or see something in the distance. The glasses don’t have the side (over ear) arms of my full sized pair but they clip on to my nose fairly securely, and I can manipulate them to fit in just the right position for the task at hand. For maximum field of view for reading I can slide them up close to my eyes, and for more bifocal type use I clip them down towards the end of my nose. The optical performance of these lenses is on par with any good reading glasses. The only problems I’ve had so far are: 1. The glasses are so small in their case or out that they are extremely easy to loose. Maybe the case should be yellow or day glow orange for visibility. 2. It’s very easy to forget that you’re wearing these glasses and if you go to scratch your nose they will fall off. The glasses will also fall off if you sneeze. 3. There’s no place to clip them if your wearing a mask! 4. They won’t stay on if you’re walking around too much or out in the wind. ... show more

  • Easy to keep with you.

  • Great item but need a small tweak to the case!
I have bought at least 10 pair of these glasses because I love the ease of use and their comfort. However, the reason I have purchase so many is because they all eventually get so scratched from going in and out of their I case that I can no longer see through them. I suggest they install some type of soft cloth (similar to a glass cleaner cloth) to line the inner case so when you slide them in and out they do not get damaged. ... show more
