I laser these with an xtool f1 ultra and they come out great! they have a nice weight to them which is perfect as im using them as price signs for vendor fairs and these won't fly off the tables in wind. The edges can be a little rough though but you can sand them a bit to get rid of that feel.

BE WARNED!!! These will REQUIRE some kind of metal marking paint in order to engrave. They only mention it in the fine print that your laser might not work, but I would say err on the side of caution and grab a spray bottle of the stuff. The 80w CO2 laser I tried to use was not capable of marking these even a little at full power and 5% speed. Thankfully I had access to some of the spray, but if not I would have been out of luck since they don't really sell that stuff locally. Only 4 stars because they don't explicitly recommend this and instead just barely hint at it. Once I used the spray, the engravings came out reasonably well but I probably should have done multiple passes to get it darker.

These are very good quality plates with strong adhesive and a good, shiny look. However, do not buy these if you are thinking of using them with your Cricut. You *can* engrave these using the engraving tip, but you will get a very light output that may be underwhelming. Additionally, the plates are thick enough and heavy enough that you will need heavy extra support when taping it to your cutting mat. These are very nice nameplates, but again, not good for use with a Cricut machine.

Will not laser engrave. I tried my CO2 and diode. Also an IR and the marking was so light you couldnt make it out. It is definitely not an anodized coating and the first picture you see in their listing is completely deceptive. The metal itself I'd heavy but I am not sure what you would use it for.

I’ve tried a competitors nameplates that look identical to these in photos but they are vastly different. The other ones were super thin like aluminum. The silver ones required the use of a black laser marking spray to engrave (which is $23 for an 2oz bottle). These however are thicker and heavier so they feel like better quality, and the silver ones engrave perfectly without the need for spray which is a big plus! (The photo I posted was after I wiped it down with alcohol so that black is there to stay!) They do warp a little like others have said but it’s easy to bend them back straight afterwards. I’m sure there are tricks for avoiding that.
