I do think this perlite is really great and you get a good amount if your using it for succulents. Only thing is when you first pour it out, there is A LOT of dust/powder. Once you mix it in the soil it is good.

Helps root growth, it retains moisture while giving roots the chance to take in oxygen. Very easy to use, just mix in 10 to 15% with your topsoil. For the price it's a very good quality.

    • Lot of dust
I might be wrong as a first-time user of any kind of perlite but... this was REALLY dusty to work with. Also, there was no helpful info on the bag about how to use it. I just dumped this into the soil (with my plant already in it - LOL) and, wow! The dust just about choked me. I didn't realize until too late that I was supposed to soak or rinse this prior to using it. One one of my smaller plants, I see that some of the pebbles (?) have gone a nasty brown color. Odd. I don't know if that is normal or not. At any rate, I think I have managed to mix it well into the soil. Fingers crossed. ... show more

I was having a gnat problem I read that putting a layer of perlite on top of soil can help and it did I found this stuff for 8 bucks and it did the job came next day and it’s ph netrual and organic gotta love it :)
