Description

We must be as wise as serpents, women, and learn to take good care of our families. I have had many years of health issues; thus, I had a lot of time to research good food and natural remedies. In this book, I will share my timetested family favorite recipes and all of the natural healing ways that I have learned along the way. I don’t have a lot of recipes. I cook and feed my family simply, but learning from me, you will be able to expand, in many ways, meals that are healthier for your family. This may all appear completely overwhelming to many of you at first. It may all be something brand new for you. I encourage you to not feel you need to do everything at once. Begin with baby steps and do what you can do. I address this in more detail at the conclusion of this book. Women, you have a huge influence on your family and their health. You are the homemaker in your home! Begin choosing food the way God created it to be eaten over fast and convenient food that is filled with harmful ingredients and causes devastating diseases. This takes time and effort, but it is all well worth it! After all, the kitchen is the heart of the home. Read more

  • Great recipes and useful health advice
I enjoyed this book and was glad that I purchased it. Lori includes some lovely basic family friendly recipes that aren't too time consuming to make. They have all the appeal of nice warm welcoming comfort food recipes, yet still remain healthy at the same time. It's nice to see realistic recipes from someone that has actually dealt with medical issues in the past and has strived to clean up their diet to heal and to provide their loved ones with proper nourishment as well. I also enjoyed reading her section on "Healthy Living" because it is such a breath of fresh air to hear someone else going against the grain of modern indoctrination and sticking to basic solid health advice and not what the media and big Pharma want you to follow through with: deadly vaccination cocktails, body damaging and life ending birth control, popping pills like candy to overcome a simple cold that do more harm than good in the long run etc.) The author is also very humble about working your way towards living healthier, and anyone that actually read the book would know that. It slays me how many women profess to be Christians but are living the exact OPPOSITE way that God intended for us as ladies. I absolutely love that she sticks to her guns about the basics of how a Christian woman should maintain herself. Apparently, that offends those that are guilty of disobeying the natural design that God gave them to the point of writing negative reviews on a book that they haven't even taken the time to read. I applaud her for her honesty that women should be at home taking care of her babies (however many that God decides to bless us with) and being the homemaker that we were intended to be. God bless you and your future endeavors to encourage fellow women and teach them in the way they should go while providing insightful advice for healthy living. ... show more

  • Wonderful book!!
Lori Alexander's "Transformed Kitchen" is a comprehensive guide that empowers readers to revolutionize their health through the heart of their homes - the kitchen. Here's why I found this book to be a game-changer: 1. Practical Tips: From pantry organization to meal planning strategies, Alexander's book is brimming with practical tips that are easy to implement. I appreciated the step-by-step guidance on decluttering and stocking a healthy kitchen, making the transition to a wholesome lifestyle feel manageable and sustainable. 2. Nutritional Wisdom: The author's emphasis on whole foods and the importance of reading labels to make informed choices resonated with me. The section on decoding food labels was particularly enlightening, empowering me to make healthier choices while grocery shopping. 3. Delicious Recipes: "Transformed Kitchen" doesn't just provide information; it also offers a treasure trove of delicious, nutritious recipes. From breakfast ideas to satisfying dinners and everything in between, the recipes are both flavorful and nourishing, making healthy eating a delight rather than a chore. 4. Mind-Body Connection: What sets this book apart is its focus on the mind-body connection. Alexander explores the impact of stress, sleep, and mindset on overall health, offering valuable insights and practical strategies for holistic well-being. 5. Inspirational Approach: Throughout the book, Alexander's encouraging and compassionate tone shines through, inspiring readers to embrace positive changes with grace and determination. In conclusion, "Transformed Kitchen" is a must-read for anyone looking to overhaul their health from the inside out. Whether you're a seasoned health enthusiast or just beginning your wellness journey, this book will equip you with the tools, knowledge, and motivation to transform your kitchen and, ultimately, transform your life. • An Excellent Resource
I highly recommend Mrs. Alexander's book. She covers many topics in a helpful and informative way. Since books can, and have, been written on each topic she covers, she lists other resources for further study. Much of her knowledge was gleaned from dealing with her own significant health issues. She is interested in learning root causes of ailments and diseases, rather than popping pharmaceuticals to mask symptoms and inflict side effects. I am stymied how 1-star reviewers concluded that Mrs. Alexander "shames" women, other than they haven't actually read the book. For example, in her brief section on breastfeeding, Mrs. Alexander states that breast milk is the perfect food for babies. This isn't a controversial statement, nor does she demean women who don't. Accusations of "shaming" seems to have become a tool to discredit those with whom you disagree. There is much good information, and good recipes, in this book and it is offered at an excellent price. ... show more

  • Don’t Forget to Edit Before You Publish
Lori has published yet another book where she passes judgement on anyone different than her and gaslights people into believing that she never said women should be perfect. Maybe she didn’t say the words but she definitely gives off the vibe. I paid for the book and tried to read it. The missing directions, bad cooking advice (cooking ground beef, adding onions, and cooking for an additional 15 minutes is the recipe for charcoal not chili), and neglected editing are embarrassing for a published book. Lori will be donating the proceeds from her book to Birth Choice. Since I don’t like that I had to give money to her or her cause, I made additional donations for ten times the amount of the Kindle price to the Center for Reproductive Rights (which supports all women seeking reproductive care) and Dress For Success (where my donation will provide a set of scrubs for a woman in the healthcare profession). These organizations support women that Lori harms with her teaching. ... show more

Not only does this include recipes, but there is a healthy living section full of so much fantastic information! I underlined so much in this book and will be rereading and referencing often.
