  • Perfect!
This book really is a "toolbox" for any social studies teacher. Not only does it cover hot topics like social and emotional learning it also provides a ton of ideas for dealing with some of the less fun parts of teaching like textbooks and assessments. I value the research backing each and every strategy and am impressed by the number of ideas contained in this book. Every social studies teacher needs a copy! ... show more

  • It is a massive book
This is a very thorough book - there are a lot of good ideas - However, the size of it and layout make it less useful for a quick idea or reference.

  • Great information in this book!
This book is a “must have” for all social studies teachers. The strategies in this book are great for both the novice and veteran teacher. I was also impressed at the research supporting each strategy. The technology connection section for each chapter is especially helpful for teaching during the current pandemic. • If you need it, its got it.
I like the book tries to get down and really explain all of the options we as social studies teachers may never get the chance to use. I feel some of these ideas may be especially helpful for my 7th Grade Civics students. All in all, a great buy.
