I loved the metallic bag I purchased. It took a month before I started using it when I changed from winter to spring bags. Sometime in May I noticed the thread was unraveling along the zipper & continues to pull loose. I rarely zip the bag. I made myself a note to inquire about it. I was slammed with work for most of May & I didn't realize the time had expired for returns on May 31. I have owned quite a few Sak bags over the years. I liked the quality of the bags and continue to purchase them. I had originally chosen the Sequoia embossed leather bag but then changed my mind to the metallic bag, opting to purchase the embossed bag later in the summer for my fall bag. I still plan on purchasing it next. I hadn't posted a rating on the bag yet. I like to carry it a while before I do. I will have to mention the defect in workmanship. It is a manufacturing defect. Not your fault. Can manufacturer do anything? I'm afraid it is going to continue to unravel more. I've never had a defect in previous Sak bags. I have attached a picture of the zipper. I love everything about this!! First of all, I ordered the evergreen color, but to my delight it’s actually teal, the color I wanted to find in the first place. The little pocket on the outside holds my many keys and the zippered outside pocket has plenty of room for my phone. The bag holds all my stuff - that includes two large eyeglasses cases. Oh gosh I can't explain how much I love this purse. It's hard to find a good purse with a single strap, and they did absolutely everything right with this one! The pockets on the inside and outside are perfectly sized for my phone, keys, and other small things that I need to be able to find right away. After almost a year of daily use, the zippers still work smoothly, none of the stitching is falling apart, it actually still looks as good as it did the day I got it! I just purchased a Sequoia Sak handbag in the gorgeous buttercup color. It arrived today and I just love it. The color is beautiful, the leather is soft and the size is perfect. It's actually my second Sequoia. I also have one in the dark gray color. I almost ordered one in lavender, and I still may do that. I love that this handbag has the strap attached to metal rings, because if I need to carry it cross body, I can attach a cross body strap. ... show more

    • Beautiful, but missing an important pocket.

The leather is beautiful on this bag. The problem is, in order to incorporate this beautiful leather, they left off the front zipper pocket. I need that pocket!!! They left the stupid open slit pocket on the back side. Barely anything fits in there and it’s not secure. They should have put the zipper pocket on the back side and cut out the slit pocket if they had to reduce a pocket to incorporate the beautiful leather. I sent this purse back as it was not functional enough without that zippered pocket. It pained me to do it as the purse was so beautiful and exactly my style. I was so disappointed. There is an inside zip pocket and two other inside pockets. If you can get by without an outside zipper pocket, this purse could be a beautiful choice for you. ... show more

I have another hobo bag in a different color. The quality, size and shape of the bag is nice. I ordered coral. It is a very bright color, almost pink. Not my style so I returned it and ordered buttercream which I like much better. Great bag, fits all my stuff without looking bulky.

Well, I planned to use purse quite often. Color was ok, but not what I had thought, my mistake tho. My main issue and problem was the style of purse, which I thought I would like, but did not. Everything just seemed to disappear into the big middle black hole. And biggest problem was the inside liner came unsewed and was also losing things out of the liner, into the purse bottom.! This bag is well made and very nice. It is a little heavy and the back slit pocket is too narrow. Have seen this on other Sak bags. The inside pockets are also a bit narrow. Overall it is a lovely bag.
