I was having all kinds of trouble with my plow. Changed hydraulic oil twice decided it must be my controller. Went online to buy one and was blown away by the cost of the fisher controller. I only plow my driveway. This controller was half the cost of the name brand controller and seems to be quality construction. Doesnt feel cheap at all. Plugged it in and my plow works smooth as can be expected. Very happy with the controller. If anything goes wrong I will update my review, but for now I am ready for winter. Thanks

This does everything that a $355 Fisher FishStik 9400 controller does. And it operates well. So let's get that out of the way first. 5 stars for functionality. 5 stars for price. Why only 4 stars? Four reasons: 1. The ON light is blinding in the cab (tape helped.) 2. The FLT (float) indicator on the bottom is VERY dim. 3. The adapter harness to fit the 6 pin plug is clunky. Wrapped it with electrical tape to avoid hooking the several wires on things in the cab. 4. The thing is large. On the plus side: the bigger buttons on the controller are easier to push with gloves on than the OEM controller. Maybe that's a wash. I don't think you can beat the price for a NEW hand held straight blade controller. And I would buy another one. I just hope it lasts 19 years like the old FishStik did. We'll see.

I bought a used snow dog plow, and it did not come with a controller. I ordered this controller because it states it works with snow dog plows. The person that installed the snow dog plow also installed the controller. My vehicle was tied up for a couple of weeks due to the fact That the plow would not turn. The mechanic tried different things in order to get it to work and then stated to me, he believes it might be the new controller. By the time he came to that conclusion, it was passed the return date so I ordered another controller. The issue of the plow not turning, continued. He worked on this plow, racking his brain, wondering what else it could be. He ordered different parts of the plow to see if any of the other parts could have been bad. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he believes it was the controller so I ordered the controller directly from snow dog and it worked. The mechanic apologized but explained to me what is the percentage that both controllers could have been bad and I agree. He billed me and I noticed it was $500 more than his first quote. He stated it was due to all the time he had wrapped up into the plow, due to the fact of these faulty controllers. I agreed and paid him way more than I needed to. Do not buy this controller it is misleading and faulty. Thank you for your time and good luck.
