This was the last of the Red-White-Blue trio of remix collections I needed. Found it with other vendors but it was on backorder with no ship date in sight. Found it here in stock so I snatched it up. It shipped from Japan so, given the Summer heat, there was a chance it might be warped or damaged once it arrived; fortunately, it was in pristine condition upon receipt. Pressed on white vinyl, this 2LP set sounds and looks great. Remixed reissues often don't sound much different from the original, but these have clearly been altered/updated and they sound terrific. Coverdale's vision for this record was fulfilled and it is well worth the time and mo ey it takes to get it to your door. ... show more

David Coverdale has put out some great repackaged sets/box sets and after reading the album notes sounds like more good stuff is in the works! I enjoyed listening to the songs and reading the info like I used to in the 70’s/80’s when I’d get a new album. There something about the LP experience that I still long for and this delivered! I liked the remixes especially the songs that aren’t as well known from Reckless Heart and Into the Light. Nice white vinyl (looks odd on the turntable) bit would make it hard to select a specific song if you wanted to. ... show more

    • Interesting take on the originals
I like CD. Some of the mixes sound rawer than the original tunes. Less reverb. Guitars are more up front in the mixes. Interesting versions of the songs. Not that far off from the originals, but enough to notice (on most of the songs).

I didn’t think I would like such aggressive changes to the sound, but everything considered, it is very smooth to hear a new mix of all these classics. The drums and bass seem most remixed and it does breathe new life, while the period vox. and guitars for the most part flat out Rock! It is a great vinyl listen, looking forward to the next new releases in this series. ... show more

    • Nice remixes.
I'm a big Whitesnake fan, so I had to get this. The tempo of some of the songs seems to have been made a little faster, but I like fast tempos. Glad I bought it.
