  • Slice of Heaven: The Ultimate Pizza Recipe Collection!
As a pizza enthusiast, I thought I knew all there was to know about crafting the perfect pie. That is until I stumbled upon "The Pursuit of Pizza." This cookbook is not just a collection of recipes; it's a culinary journey crafted by the skilled hands of the 40 Authors of the World Pizza Champions team. Each recipe is a testament to their expertise, offering a delightful blend of traditional flavors and innovative twists. What truly sets this book apart are the QR codes accompanying each recipe. With a simple scan, I was transported into the kitchen with the authors themselves, watching as they masterfully crafted their creations and shared invaluable tips and tricks. The high-quality photos accompanying each recipe are not just visually stunning but serve as a guide for achieving the perfect presentation. Whether you're a seasoned pizzaiolo or a novice in the kitchen, "The Pursuit of Pizza" is an indispensable addition to your cookbook collection. • Great Variety of Recipes and Excellent Detailed Instructions
I really enjoy using this recipe book because it offers a wide variety of recipes and pizza inspo. It's different from many other pizza cookbooks because it has a lot of substance and detail in each recipe from world-renowned pizza chefs. My favorite recipe is the Cortopassi cannotto style pizza with a nice puffy crust with microblisters on the dough. I learned a lot from the book and enjoy trying out the unique regional pizza recipes. ... show more

  • Ebook typesetting all over the place
Edit: bought the hardcover additions below: As an avid fan of the pizza bible and using recipes found other places from Laura I, Tony, Siler, Arena and Audrey Kelly (90% of the book tbh) from pizza quest I wanted to absolutely adore this but the ebook format is nearly unreadable from large heading text to center set/justified body text causing large gaps and sometimes no spacing at all it’s hard to read. I’ll buy the hard cover if that’s the only solution Hardcover edit: After getting the hardcover I realized the ebook is essentially a scan of the hardcover BUT it’s easier to scan & read because your device isn’t zooming and adjusting for you The QR code videos are great! You should be able to tap the ebook at code to open a video but it’s not a true ebook The matte style paper is nice to write on without smearing I love that there’s actual preferences (like the pizza bible) for flours, tomatoes, cheese/toppings and even salt and with additions like if your flour is malted reduce/remove a sweetener There’s some overlap between this and the pizza bible (similar recipes too but that’s going to happen regardless) but just enough to be different with the handling of say Tony’s base dough compared to TPB master dough There’s even variation between Detroit style doughs which is great! This has romana New York cali Sicilian, squares, Detroit, Chicago stuffed and thin/tavern even old forge in pa (which I’ve never seen in a book) and even a gluten free crust (along with sourdough ones!!) O and there’s no index but if you read through the book the table of contents can act as it since you’ll be more familiar with who and what each persons recipe represents So if I could rerate only the Hardcover it would be 4.8/5 since the index is missing or at least a section saying what each type or style represents If anything I’d get this to somewhat replicate pies from Audrey Kelly, John Arena Chris decker Derek Sanchez well you know what I’m not going to name em there’s waaaaaaay to many like 35+ Edit again 06/12/2023 Laura’s indirect dough on pg 34 timings are going to be vastly different on a home (kitchen aid pro 6) than what’s written I’ve made both large and small batches 3 times and each time it’s a slog to get it to come together While the bassinage technique she uses is has good results your home mixer is going you struggle to pull the dough together even with following her note. Even with breaking up the dough and adding in half teaspoons it’s tough ... show more

  • Beautifully illustrated
Expensive but really cool cook book for the home pizza maker, Recipe are explained in detail, QR codes helped a lot to learn how to do things & what to look for. They even included where to get the tools that the pros use.

  • Beautiful on Kindle for my iMac
When this treasure first came out as a hardback, I had it in my cart and watched the price decrease but hesitated to buy it. I have the Pizza Bible and numerous other pizza cookbooks and didn't have the pressing need to buy it. But I came back today and saw it for $ 1.99 on Kindle so I went for it. Since it is a visual copy it was unreadable on my Kindle Fire with a micro font and title letters sitting on top of each other, but I sent it to my Kindle for Mac and it is exquisite on the 24" screen. I'll use a few recipes like the 86th Street Sicilian and the Chicago Stuffed as well as the Stromboli and Italian Bread. If you have Kindle on your Mac, this is definitely a no brainer purchase. Beautiful photos and a superb layout as the Kindle shows the 2 facing pages on the screen. Could very well be the deal of the year for us pizza aficionados, gets my vote, that’s for sure! ... show more

  • Pizza makers must have
I first ordered the paperback copy but returned it because the paper was too thin, kind of like the old phonebooks. I got the hardbound (really recommend). I love this book, it has QR codes on pages so you can see how it's done if you need, and I find that very helpful. In my opinion, this book is a must have if you're making pizza. ... show more
