...because after taking a closer look at the product after I received it, the reviews definitely appear to be a bit petty and ridiculous. First off...There’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with the packaging. In case no one has figured it out yet, the clear plastic holding the spell cards that’s encased in the cardboard box is not removable. It wasn’t meant to be. It’s LITERALLY what holds the cards inside the box. The only way for it to become damaged is if you: A) Mishandle the cardboard box (i.e. rip the sealed tape off the packaging instead of using a box cutter/knife/scissors) AND/OR B) Try to pull the plastic case out of the cardboard box (which you are NOT supposed to do) or mishandle the plastic case in some other way. The cardboard has a flap with a magnetic strip to give you easier access to the cards as well as the included booklet (which IS removable.). As far as the Gold foil (paint, markings, WHATEVER it is) goes...I honestly couldn’t give a damn if it peeled off within an hour of delivery because I didn’t purchase it for the visuals....I purchased it for THE SPELLS. If you end up using the cards frequently, chances are it’ll start to peel regardless. Which just adds to its charm, in my opinion. Now about the PRODUCT itself...if you’re a new witch (such as myself) or a busy witch or even a witch who wishes to do a quick spell, then these are the cards for you. If you’re a witch that prefers intricate spells, then you’ll probably want to look elsewhere because that’s not what these cards are intended for. I like the variety of spell and ritual ideas. If you are just starting out on your spell work journey, this is a nice collection of ideas to use and modify to your practice. If you are advanced in your practice this deck might not offer much, but could be used to ask spirit for guidance on what type of spell work will serve you best. The cards are nice and slick but not shinny. The card stick is on the thin side, but I wasn’t planning on shuffling these cards so it’s not a problem. I don’t think there is a real need for the mini companion book. Most people buying these probably have a full blown book on spells or Wicca or something similar that delves deeper into what the book provides. I wish they had spent the book money on creating a solid box. The cards are housed in an annoying clear box that is glued onto a four sided shell with a magnetic side. I feel like that clear plastic is going to get very brittle over time and make it useless for storing the cards. It’s not a deal breaker and I still think the cards alone are worth the price. ... show more

Size of the cards = 2 7/16" wide × 3 7/16" long and have a gold color edging. There is a total of 100 spell cards, broke down into 7 categories: Altar Spells = 13, Everyday Spells = 20, Healing Spells = 11, House Spells = 11, Love = 17, Money = 9, Moon Spells = 19. And yes I counted them. Lol It's a neat little deck that you can easly take with you anywhere. These are the things that I have a problem with. (1. The box they come in was a bit messed up. (2. The plastic part of the box. It's top is a real pain to open the moon shape thumb cut out really doesn't help at all. (3. Some of the gold edging on some of the cards is a little rough and coming up/off. So I'm a little disappointed. ... show more

The cards are interesting, and I love the idea. They aren’t particularly visually compelling, but they contain some inspiring spells (I like 23 out of 100) and the matte cardstock is lovely to touch. Unfortunately, the gold gilding has bled to the front and back of some of the cards. The box is made of very cheap (usually discarded) cellophane plastic that is partially glued and partially attached with a clear sticker to the half-case in such a way that it neither closes all the way nor opens easily. I love this little deck it. I love the design and the gold on the edges its so pretty. I think the box is pretty cool.....especially since it wasnt an expensive item.It has a little book that comes with it and sits inside the box.the plastic box for the actual deck is well constructed to me Im not sure what others issue with that are......and it all closes shut with a magnet. ... show more
