  • Performed well for the first hour or so UNTIL...
Just got my Pocket Shot today along with 2 packages of 3/8 and 1 package of 1/4 steel slingshot ammo. The Pocket Shot provided all the power and eas of use that it advertised, and right away I was able to hit a 9inch by 9 inch box from 30 feet away pretty regularly. I then tried shooting at a beer can with limited success. It felt a bit like luck when I hit it, but was very satisfying. On the DOWNSIDE, both pouches developed holes in them within the first hour or so (see photo below). I was trying to pinch "above" the ball, as instructed in the Pocket Shot youtube videos, but the holes developed rapidly anyway. I have used probably 30 of the 3/8 and 100 of the 1/4 ammo, so the longevity of the pouches should be considered. Looks like you may have to buy many, many extra pouches if you want to shoot this regularly. I am going to give the Pocket Shot 3 stars because of this. If the pouches would have lasted, I would have given 5 stars easily, because the product does exactly as advertised. Knocking it down 2 stars may seem harsh, but nobody wants to have to keep ordering replacement parts every single day for something like this, and it could be especially devastating in a survival situation. ... show more

  • Waste of
Purchased 2 for my kids. Both had holes in the one the first day. My kids ended up making their own with Gatorade lids and balloons and they held up longer. Waste of $50

  • Excellent for shooting yourself. Not for much else
Cool idea. But if you hold it how it’s depicted... you will shoot your own hand. And if you got ceramic shot like I did... it’s going to hurt very badly

  • I've had not had problems.
I've had this slingshot for two years. I've probably shot it 200 times. I use it to scare Canadian geese out of my yard. My targets are usually 30 yards to 100 yards over water. I'm not trying to kill anything or do target practice. It is easy to use, but not terribly accurate, but for my usage in the ball park is fine. I have a standard dual tube, hunting-type slingshot, and although more durable most probably, it is not much more accurate. I also do not pull the pocket back to its limit. Even then it will shoot 80 + yards in a lofted trajectory. The ceramic shot are about the same as steel. Slightly bigger, but less dense. ... show more

  • I love this thing.
Its fun and easy to use. Difficult to aim but like any other thing where there is no history of invention, it does take a trial and error approach to get good at it. Maybe I shot it 50 time before I bought the first arrow kit and hammer grip. I made a quick trip to Dick's Sporting goods and bough 3 cheap arrows from the barrel of arrows at the front of the store and took them out to the backyard. My set up was crude. A large cardboard box stuffed tight with newspaper. I was out there for about a half hour and got pretty good from 30 feet away. but the trouble started when I was finished when I tried to put everything away. As I tightened cap it kept getting loose. Turns out the threading was unwinding like a string on a sweater. So I contacted the company by email and described the issue. They responded and asked for picture. Sent it a picture and they were surprised by the issue and offered to send a replacement part. My review is I like the product. I like the functionality and the price. I like their customer service and the response to issues. So overall, I love it. ... show more

  • Discipline, focus, and practice
As with many different types of weapons that have come through the history of time, no matter what the weapon is. Whether its a spear, rock, sling, or any object that is used for protection, food, or just for enjoyment. I feel the most important facts to form the foun*dation of any perfection, are: Discipline, concentration, focus, and practice. Patience is also a very important aspect pertection is either excellent, or not. There is no pretty good, that's close, or you'll get sometime. Technology has come a long way in everything that happens. those of you carved a Y shape stick from a tree, then used an old innertube at the correct length, them an old leather shoe tongue, and using what material we had at our disposal, made our very own slingshot. We shot smooth pebbles, did not shot marbles as we played the game of marbles. Now we moved into the future where to old days are go. Everyone enjoy your Poket shot. Please be safe. ... show more

  • Fun and compact. Not for the serious
It is a.lot of fun and it’s compact design is a great feature. But if you want something accurate you will need to purchase the handle. Also if you want to shoot arrows you will need the arrow kit. If you are a serious user you may want to lookk at other models by the time you purchase all the upgrades the cost is about the same. Also the pouches wear out quickly. But if you want a cheap easy to carry sling shot buy the basic model. ... show more

  • not exactly durable but good idea
Not meant for normal use. It wears quickly and produced a hole making it useless with under 60 shots. Not reliable will not recommend. It is kinda fun to shoot though.
