I don’t regret this at all. Although I have Netflix and can watch the office on there anytime, I thought It would be a great idea to own all of the office on DVD as well. I was debating buying this or buying all of the seasons separately - because I was worried if I would lose some content. I did not lose any content!     • there is something wrong with "the office" box set
I disliked the whole damn thing. This is the THIRD box set i bought. for some reason seasons 6 thru 9 all have the same episodes on every disc for that season. why does this keep happening? not real thrilled about this. the only box set of something i ever bought and it turns out to be a major pain in the ass. it would be really nice to get a box set that is actually right. i don't see that happening though.......customer satisfaction? don't know yet. let's see what happens here. i don't expect a reply....they're few and far between......dave ... show more

The office is an amazing show, no problem at all with the content. HOWEVER, it all came destroyed! The discs have scratches, the cases are broken and the box is ripped. If this was for myself okay, fine whatever. But this was a gift, that I spent $98 on and it looked like I pulled it out of a pile at a garage sale. It was dusty and broken. I’m sending it back and will see how the new one comes. Until then the one star stays. ******Update An hour after my complaint a new set boxset was being sent to arrive within two days. It was super quick and the new set was perfect and unopened. I really appreciate how fast a new order was sent to me. Super disappointing that something so badly ruined would be shipped out to a customer. I've never left a bad review in my life but man. ... show more

After reading all the bad reviews I took a chance. Received Item, was in plastic wrap so I thought I had a chance. Opened them and NOPE. The discs were all over the place and had scratches and are not playable at all. Some of them even have what one would describe as water damage. Very interesting and not sure what happened but do not seem new. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It looks like most people are providing reviews of how the set looks upon delivery, before breaking the seal to open up the package to watch some of the shows to see how it all works. My delivery was fine, and the set had no damages from delivery. I have more important issues, as outlined below: This is the second The Office DVD set that I bought from Amazon (the first one I returned because it was sub-par). Unfortunately, this set is also sub-par. The design of the two cases (one case for seasons 1-5, other case for 6-9) is terrible. You may have to remove 3 DVDs before you can get to the DVD you want. They put several DVDs on the same hook, so it isn't easy, nor seamless, to access the DVD you want. Additionally, did anyone else notice that it is so very hard to choose the desired show on the screen? Unless I have a defective set. My mouse seems to only highlight the Deleted Scenes for each of the shows, and it's very difficult to select the 20 min long video. My video displays that. In the footage I have displayed, I can finally click on "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" instead of the Deleted Scenes of that show, however, I unfortunately cannot click on the other two shows ("Valentine's Day" or "Dwights's Speech"), although I can click on the Deleted Scenes of both of those two shows. It's really frustrating. I want to be easily able to select what show I want to view. Lastly, it seems like the quality of the video is poor. I am even watching it on my 15 inch HP laptop, and it looks very pixelated. I'm very unimpressed with this DVD set. I'm planning on returning it. ... show more

The Office gets 6/5 stars for me. However, this set came with TWO seasons 1-5 and not one seasons 6-9. This makes it pretty useless. Also, the DVDs came all mixed up and broken free from their holders inside the cases. I exchanged and hope the next one I get will A. have all the seasons and B. be less of a mess inside. ... show more

    • A Great Gift for Yourself or Others
I purchased this set for my brother at Christmas time and decided to watch a few episodes with him. I won't comment much on the merits of the show beyond noting it is beloved for a reason (although it is significantly cheerier than the British original); I feel that the episodes following Steve Carell's departure removed the show's heart, but I thoroughly enjoyed the series finale. My main purpose with this review, however, is to comment on the merits of the box set itself. Unlike some prior releases of seasons shortly subsequent to their airing, this set includes a significant amount of bonus material, including gag reels, director and actor commentary, and deleted scenes. This is one of the great advantages over streaming services like Hulu and Netflix, but I am admittedly somewhat of a traditionalist in my preference for physical ownership. The DVDs also have subtitles available in both English and Spanish. Besides these bonuses, the episodes themselves are always enjoyable. It is interesting on the exterior to note that, except for the final season, at the top of each case is Steve Carell and how much his appearance changed over the years. While a few other reviewers complained of cosmetic damage to their DVDs, I had no issues except for a few bumps on the corners of the box. On the whole, my brother was thrilled with his gift and it was a great bonding opportunity for us to enjoy a few episodes together. ... show more

I just laugh my head off and my husband thinks I'm crazy because I must have seen The Office in its entirety at least 20 times but I still binge on it (it's my go-to background noise when I'm cooking) and still find Jim, Dwight and the rest just as funny as when it premiered. I rarely watch DVDs, and the entire season is currently on Netflix, but I bought this should Netflix ever drop it. Geez, I kind of sound like a junkie when I actually write that. One of the rare shows that stayed true to itself and remained hilarious right through the series finale. ... show more
