I’m on a quest for ski pants with some stretch. I have Burton Gloria pants and they are well made and have decent features but they are lower rise and zero stretch. They are borderline too big so I can’t even size up to have more room for range of motion. These seemed like they would be what I was looking for. Fitted, stretchy fabric. Well…..I guess there may possibly be Lycra in the fabric but they don’t feel stretchy at all. The waistband is on the snug side for me but I’m an apple shaped, plus size woman so this is a constant issue. They are much, much higher waisted than the Burton ones I have which is sooooo nice! I hated feeling like my pants were falling down constantly. They are roomy enough that I have full range of motion, zero constriction which is what I needed. These are thinner material than what you’re probably used to. When I got them they were in a tiny box and I assumed they sent the wrong product but no, they’re just not bulky. We are having a super mild winter so not sure how these would work in sub zero temps. I’m in the low 200s, size 14/16, occasionally 18 due to being apple shaped. Do I wish the waist was bigger by 1/2 inch? Yes. But can I size up without the legs being absolutely massive? No. The legs are already very baggy on me. FWIW I’ve tried the traditional non stretch freedom pants on in store and an xxl fit just like the 1X I bought. The xxl maybe was a tad better fitting so I’ll probably stick to that size next time I buy something. But they were very similar in sizing. There are 2 side pockets which are zippered. I wish there were back pockets or a cargo pocket but oh well. Can’t have everything, especially in women’s outerwear. I’m going to use these this season so hopefully they’ll hold up. ... show more
