I bought this backpack three years ago, prior to starting high school. In the past, I’ve needed to get a backpack each year before school started because my old ones never lasted. This became a time-consuming, arduous, and expensive task that I wanted to get rid of permanently. Because of this, I decided to purchase the highly talked about Borealis North Face Backpack, which was not a mistake. For starters, the backpack has padded back straps that make it comfortable to carry and has several different storage compartments, perfect for your laptop, chargers, and any other school supplies. Along with this, it’s very versatile in its uses. This backpack has been to school, the beach, on several airplanes and is still yet to have any rips or tears. While this backpack is of excellent quality, one of its many favorable features is also the one that bothers me the most. This backpack has an extremely thick zipper to prevent it from damaging, breaking, or getting stuck like most zippers tend to do. However, this makes the bag slightly tricky to open, which in turn can sometimes make it hard to place objects in your backpack, especially if they have wider dimensions. However, I would still recommend this backpack to anyone. I’ve had so many different brands over the years, and this one is yet to beat. I use it every day, and I’m the reason why so many of my friends have purchased this product. It is well worth the cost. You wouldn’t regret it.

This backpack is a very nice product. The fit is almost perfect. The straps seem a bit small, but it’s adjustable. I’ve used a different backpack for quite some time, but had extra pockets that weren’t used much. In this backpack, I was able to use up all the space perfectly, and it has a very nice interior design, especially for the laptop compartment. The backpack itself looks much better in person, and I believe this design is pretty underrated as of 12/25/19. The interior itself looks rich and should last a long time. A suggestion would be for the third compartment, where there is mesh, and a smaller pocket, would be maybe to extend the space a bit more. I found it a bit small, but overall 5/5 stars. The fabric for devices is pretty soft. It’s more soft and more rich feeling than the backpack I used before. The backpack itself is hard for it to stand up, but it’s pretty fixable with setting it at an angle. I believe for the price it’s at, this backpack is pretty good in value, and worth the buy. Would definitely recommend this backpack. -Daughter

I love this backpack! Amazon gives you such a great deal compared to buying directly from North Face. The backpack was inside a plastic bag, which was slightly torn up. Even though it wasn’t sealed, the backpack was protected from dust and water during shipping. The straps, including the handle at the top, are cushioned and very durable. Having a lot of weight in it still feels like a light load, and it far exceeds any other backpack I have owned previously. Carrying a laptop and books across campus is much easier now than it was before. So far, it has been pretty water resistant as well. The double water bottle pockets with clips are great to prevent your bottle from falling out. The interior is soft and the pockets are well made. There are not too many pockets either, just enough to comfortably sort your items out without losing track of which pocket they are in. I wasn’t sure about spending this much on a backpack, but I’m so glad I did, and that I purchased it from Amazon instead of directly from North Face. I would buy it again in the future if I needed to, though I predict this backpack will last me a very, very long time.

I ordered The North Face Women's Borealis Backpack in TNF Black as my college backpack. Prior to this backpack I had the North Face Women's Borealis Backpack in an off white color which got dirty too often for me to keep up with. I loved the Borealis backpack so much that I knew I had to get it in a darker color, so I went with the black. I love this backpack! It has so many compartments. I feel like my MacBook Pro is very safe in the laptop pocket, and my iPad mini is also secure in the front smaller pocket. I have enough room to carry around plenty of books (some of which are quite large) in addition to my laptop. Additionally, this backpack makes carrying a heavy load less of a burden on one's back and shoulders. Plus, the grey drawstrings look really sharp on the black backpack. The only complaint I have about this backpack is the condition it came in. While it arrived packed in a bag inside of a box, the backpack whas a bit dirty. It was nothing that a wet rag couldn't fix, but still a bit of a bummer. Overall, this backpack was a great purchase and I hope to get many years out of it!

the Good: Good quality: The bag is made of good quality material Good amount of space: it has sufficient space for a commuter like- it fit a 15 in laptop, lunch box, snack boxes, notebook, make up and then some. Nice color: the color looks better than the pictures Comfortable: so comfortable, when I first got it I felt like it was too heavy but once I filled it in it felt great! The bad: Does not stand up, it falls foward because of the design, which is annoying when you are standing in a crowded train.
