These are some of the most underrated shoes on the market. The midsole is perfectly spongy, but not so spongy that it fees unstable. They are amazing for the cost. I would consider them competitors to the Hoka Speedgoats.

I have 2 pairs of these shoes! They are ultra distance race approved. I raced a 50 miler in them and will use them for my 100 miler coming up. I love the rocker geometry with this shoe. Makes strides effortless. Makes you want to go long.

I absolutely love this shoe. On my first wear, I've immediately clocked how It's very lightweight and feels great while at the gym or on the run outside. The main star of the show are the soles, which are a little bit elevated, but it helps you feel like you are running on air. They also have excellent grip, very similar to a tactical boot style, and would be the perfect pair especially for hiking or distance running on natural ground like soil or grass. Lastly, they don't flex super easily and supports my weight of 195 pounds effortlessly. It's very top-notch stuff and is one of the best sole experiences I've had in any shoe. The quality of the shoe's fabrics are also superb. The shoes feel thick but also breathable, and after wearing them to the gym for a couple of days, they are definitely built like a tank and feel like they would last a long time too. I also love the bigger tongue in the center, allowing the shoe to have maximum comfort and not shift around needlessly like other common shoe designs. Two things I'd like improved are the shoelaces and the sizing. The laces themselves have a strange plastic lining that can sometimes make the shoe come untied on its own, compared to traditional cloth laces more easily. Honestly, definitely a sign of if it ain't wrong, don't fix it. I also would advise upsizing a tiny bit because although I wear a size 9.5, it was a little bit tighter on the front. This is no big deal as for running and other active sports, it's definitely important to have that perfect fit, which this shoe definitely brings. All in all, this is North Face's most premium and flagship sports shoes, and there is a lot of good design and thought put into it for its total package.
