This jacket is heavy duty and holds up to sub artic negative temps we experience in MN winters. The only spot where u can feel a slight bit of cold is around the neck where the insulation is thinner. My husband is 6’1 and 280lbs. Got the tall xxl and it fits perfect. Does not ride up. Expect this jacket to last a long time.

I purchased this jacket as I needed one for Minnesota winters and I spend alot of time outside... of course after the return period and it was finally needed as it was getting cold the zipper track broke... the zipper quality is trash and the track teeth are broken see picture. The I put the fur hood piece on and it has a few buttons which hold it on and has huge gaps where the wind blows right through... the velcro sticks to the cuffs I included a picture of that... it is not warm whatsoever and I still have to wear 1 to 2 hoodies in addition... it is not windproof and the wind blows right through it... the fit is good and it's blah on comfort... this is my first North Face Jacket and my last... I see I can have them fix it but then I have no jacket and have to wait until the spring... I wish it would've been colder at purchase time so I could've returned it in the return window... the so called cheap Free Country walmart kohls brand jacket I have is alot warmer and the zipper works just fine and isn't the cheapest zipper ever put on a jacket... now I see why it was on sale for such a good deal... if I paid 350 for this normal price I would lose my mind... really disappointed in this jacket... now I have a paper weight until winter when I can send it in to them get it fixed and then I'll resell it and let the buyer know it's for real light 40 degree plus temps as I will not decieve people for a buck... really sad and north face should be ashamed to out their name on this piece of garbage... rant over just save your time and money and buy anything other than this piece of junk... Also, washed pwr instructions and now it smells like.rotten wet dog and can't get smell.out... going to have to find a tailor to put new zipper on as I am stuck with this and will not trust north face to with a quality zipper and the crazy amount if time to do this process... I'll never purchase north face products again as they are not worth it... my walmart free country jacket is warmer and made of higher quality fir a fraction if the price... wish I would've returned in return window and of course north face never responded to this review like many.ither companies have when I've had a negative review ... it's embarrassing having to put this jacket on as a hoodie and can't unzip more than a quarter of the eay.. cheapest zipper ever made and the velcro sticks to the cuffs amd bottom.cuff... learned my lesson on this brand of junk... it also smells so bad after following wash instructions like the synthetic down inside is rotted after wash... thisnthing is a nightmare to have and of course North Face never has reached out about how bad of an experience I have had with this... I will have to bring to tailor as the zipper is stuck half way up and I have to put on like a hoodie since I didn't even get to test as weather was not cold enough... I know I can send to north face to be fixed but they will just put on another flimsy junk zipper and it will happen again I am sure and also have to take one of those fabric shavers to shave the cuffs and the waist as it looks like he'll and constantly gets stuck on the velcro on the jacket ... makes me feel embarrassed to wear it as it looks so bad with the cuff material on wrists and waist look so bad... such a disappointment buying this...

For such a costly jacket I was completely disappointed that Velcro was used in place of snaps. It’s constantly getting caught on fabric around the wrist area and pulling / damaging the material not to mention my beard also getting stuck in the Velcro. Also would have been nice to have the face protection option as well. Other than that the jacket certainly does its job as far as being very warm.
