  • Great game, but package damaged in shipping.
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
The game is great, a classic Zelda game in modern graphics. I'm giving it 1 Star because my package came damaged during shipping because Amazon continues to put things in bags instead of boxes. Video game collectors like myself love Collector's Editions and like to keep them pristine and near mint condition. So would it be to hard to ask to please start shipping things in boxes so they are better protected, instead of stupid sealed bags. This is not the first time this has happened, but this time it's different, I love Zelda games and it just irritates me it had to happen to this game. ... show more

  • 10/10 Game 2/10 shipping
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
This is a classic and the ground up remake is almost flawless (minus some speed running glitches, which I didn't expect them to replicate, and the occasional frame rate hiccup. Short, but wastes basically no time and each area is full of secret and has purpose. My low rating is because this was shipped to me by Amazon in a bag envelope and as a result was severely damaged in shipping and since it's been sold out for quite some time, they are unable to replace it. ... show more

  • Marred Treasure :(
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
Collector's box dented on corners and spine. Upon opening box- collector's book has extreme marring: scratched on front cover- worn on back- corners of spine dented and bubbles near spine.

  • Cool game but Amazon needs to ship collectables in a box.
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
The game is awesome. Love it. The book is also kind of cool but not very insightful as there isn't any text in it execpt for some titles. It is a well made hardcover book though. But as others have stated, Amazon shipped it in a bubble mailer. The result was a potentially collectable item being damaged in the mail. I wish Amazon would learn how to ship things right. ... show more

  • List of Changes. Re-imagining of a Classic
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
Dreamer edition includes the game and a Dreamer Art Book Same core game as the original on GameBoy for the most part, but with updated visuals/sound and a lot of quality of life changes. An explore type Zelda game like 'Link between Worlds' where you interact with NPCs and discover the world on your own instead of the game telling you where to go each time. Enough with the intro; onto the list of changes: 1. Presentation: Graphical overhaul Visuals are no longer blocky. HD, 3D graphics with a fully modeled world rather than a sprite based one. The whole over-world looks like a diorama Now has depth of field. Camera now follows link instead of being focused on central screen Link and other characters look like nendoroid figures Music is fully orchestrated, has some vocals 2. No screen transitions Over-world no longer has screen transitions as areas are loaded in their entirety. World feels more fluid Island is one large connected world now There is some frame rate drops when you enter houses which is a bit odd 3. No Constant Weapon Switching No need to pause game and swap out abilities, weapons constantly The Sword, Shield, Power Bracelet, and Pegasus Boots are always equipped and have their own dedicated buttons. Here are button specific button mapping: Sword B button Shield R button Pagusus boots L button Power bracelet A button X and Y button for switching inventory 4. Warp Point Selection Able to choose warp points you want to go instead of keep falling into one until you warp into the place you want. More warp points added 5. Memories mode. Journal in-game conversations Able to see who you spoke to and what they said Shows location of already obtained Pieces of Heart and Secret Seashells. 6. Heart Pieces 14 (original) to 20 max hearts More heart pieces to find. Most new heart pieces are obtained through mini-games Hearts can now represent quarter hearts taking minimum damage of 1/4 of a heart. The original and the DX version can only represents halves as the smallest unit. If you find this too easy, there's hero mode in the game which i'll go into later 7. Empty Bottles Game now have empty bottles to fairies in 8. No puzzle reset. Once you complete a puzzle in a chamber, enter new door and go back; the game will save your progress No need to redo things again and again 9. Boss battles bosses have new attack animations some more aggressive (probably due to increased heart pieces), easier to spot telegraph attacks 10. Camera Shop Replacement No longer have the camera shop like in the DX version of the game There is a new Dungeon creator in Tal Tal Heights called the Chamber Dungeon or t Dampé's Shack Create own dungeon each tile (chamber) are carbon copies of levels that are ready in the game. You just re-arrange them You just fill empty slots with pre designed chambers if you beat game you already saw all the chambers, just re-arranged differntly After you're done making your dungeon, you have to play through and beat it yourself. You then get a completion time to challenge friend's with No online sharing or code enter option. Must save data on an amiibo which is a bit disappointing especially for those who don't own a Zelda series amiibo 11. Amiibo functionality As mentioned before, able to save dungeons you've re-arranged...i mean created into an amiibo If you have a Link's Awakining Amiibo you're able to use a 'Plus Effect' It adds shadow link who chases you dungeon to dungeon until you defeat him. Gives the game more of a challenge and also gives you a heart piece as a prize Compatible Amiibos are: Breath of wild series amiibo Zelda Smash Bros series amiibo Anniversary Link series amiibo Able to tap up to 5 different amiibo from Legend of Zelda series to unlock one of these random chambers: Great fairy chamber ball and chain tropper chamber mobilin chief chamber cracked floor chamber armos knight chamber Options when you tab an Amiibo are: get special chamber save and receive dungeon receive dungeon A bit disappointing. Like the new additions, but locked via amiibo. Must get 5 different amiibo to unlock all 5 chambers and Link's Awakening Amiibo to get max out hearts in the game. 12. Updated mini games Raft mini game, able to use hookshot to change course. Hookshot can now grapple trees Crane game better physics, more prizes Fishing different lures to unlock and more items to fish out. A Middleweight Lure can be obtained when reeling a big Fish in the Fishing Hole. 13. Custom Markers Markers and Pins can be placed on the Map. Able to place markers on duneon and world map making navigation more easier and helps as an reminder. Back in the day, i had to use pen and paper to jot down notes 14. Shield functionality Shield has more properties Able to parry and deflect attacks Shield deflect falling boulders at tal tal hieghts instead of taking damage 15. Save states: Able to save up to 3 save files and auto save 16. More mobility Link can swing, shoot and throw at 45 degree angle Link can slash his sword in eight directions instead of the four directions of the Game Boy's D-Pad. 17. Faster text scrolling NPC no longer stutter. Gets right to the point Character's name appears when talked to 18. More detailed environments. The interior of houses are much more decorated. Some have stands where figures won in mini-games can be placed. The Town Tool Shop sells six items instead of four. Red and green apples can fall down when dashing into Trees. These can be collected and eaten There are also subtle additions like added/reduced trees, bushes, grass, rocks, skulls, enemy placements 19. Enemy changes Moldorm boss room is now square and there are less holes for Link to fall in. Mobilns are now pigs instead of dogs Cukemen no longer shock you when you hit them with a sword. 20. Currency Change Green and Blue Rupees values are now swapped. 21. Hero mode No heart drops from enemies or grass Only way to restore health is to visit fairies cave, get heart piece or get potions Enemies deal double damage Overall, very good enhancement to a classic Zelda game. Worth a double dip (if not triple). ... show more

  • Slight damage
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Dreamer
As a collector I was a little upset that the box came in a bubble wrap sleeve. Once I opened the package the creases were clearly visible. Luckily the art book did not suffer any damage. I will just throw out the outer box this time but I might reconsider when I get a special edition again.
