    • Worked surprisingly well on a dried blood stain, but didn't do much for grease stains
This is the first Laundress product I've ever tried, and I was pretty excited to give it a go, knowing that a lot of people swear by this brand. It's not necessarily the easiest to use; you just have to pour stain remover onto the stain, then can rub it in by hand or use a brush, because it doesn't have the type of lid that doubles as an applicator/tool for rubbing the product into the fabric. I first tried it out on a knit dress that has to be washed on a gentle cycle, and which I'd just realized had a small, dried blood stain on it. I didn't hold out much hope that this stain remover (which doesn't mention blood among the stains that the label claims it can remove), but thought was worth giving it a go. I dropped a small amount of the product onto the stain, rubbed it in with my fingers (wearing rubber gloves), and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water. I was surprised to see that the stain had mostly gone. I repeated the process, and there was no sign of the stain after the second rinse. I then washed the dress on a gentle cycle as usual; I could probably have put it straight in the washing machine after the first soak with stain remover, but was curious to see how it would work immediately. I've used the stain remover to pretreat some grease spots on various items of clothing, before putting them in the wash as usual. With these, it hasn't proved quite so successful as it did with the blood stain. Some of the stains were gone after washing, but not all of them. So this stain solution isn't a miracle worker, sadly.     • Different Bottle...
My first wish is that this had come in a different bottle... it came out faster than I'd like and I had to rub it in with something else (my hand or a rag). My 4 year old took a really bad fall on a black road and scuffed his khakis. They sat untreated for a day, I used this product, threw them in the wash, and they came out looking great. Another time my 2 month old had a blow out and this didn't get it all out. I will say that other stain removal products struggled with this particular one as well.     • A Fragrance-Free, Clear Colored Gel Removed Everyday Stains Easily
The Laundress Stain Solution is a fragrance-free, clear colored gel that removed everyday stains easily. The manufacturer advertises the stain solution will fight old and new stains on fabrics. To use, you just need to apply the stain solution directly onto the fabric, rub gently with a stain brush or hands, and then launder as normal. For tougher stains, pour onto stained fabric, rub gently and allow to soak prior to laundering. Surprisingly, the manufacturer did not recommend an amount of time to soak the fabric prior to laundering. The first time I used the product, I found that when applied, the gel adhered well to my shirt that had old cooking oil splatter stains that I had not noticed when I had initially washed and dried it. I was excited to find that the stain was gone when I removed the treated shirt from the dryer. The stain remover also worked well when removing blood stains. The 16fl oz bottle of product is Assembled in the USA. It is a product that produced noticeable results but honestly it performed as well as the stain solution treatment that I usually buy with a noticeably lower price from the big box store. Due to its price and knowing that it does not perform anything extraordinary, I don't see myself adding it again to my Amazon cart. ... show more

I was able to test this out on older set stains as well as fresh stains. I found that it worked well with fresh stains but wasn't as effective on older set stains. In comparison to other popular stain removal solutions I'd say it wasn't any better nor any worse. If you're a fan of their other products this would be a great companion tool for your laundry stain fighting needs. ... show more

This is one of those times I wish I could give a half star so I could rate this 3.5. It smells great and I did have success lifting stains with it, but I find applying the stain remover to be more difficult. The bottle spout doesn’t really lend itself to a precise application, so I find myself wasting the solution. It also needs to be rubbed in, but a brush or applicator isn’t included. If it even had a top like dishwashing liquid it would allow for a better application. I like the stain fighting, but I’m probably going to put this in a different bottle. ... show more

    • Works well on certain stains
This stain remover is pretty nice. I will say that it works well on some stains but not all. It is completely fragrance free and it is really gentle on my clothing. It did remove stains it just didn’t work for all stains.

    • Mostly Removed a Stubborn Stain that was Washed and Dried Several Times
I am in my era where I am wearing lots of cream, white, apricot, and beige... but I really shouldn't. I am a messy eater. I thought I ruined a brand-new beige tee shirt the first time I wore it on vacation. I'm not sure what was in it, but my usual Dawn PowerWash and OxiClean pretreatment couldn't get it clean enough. I relegated it to the pajama drawer until I found this... It didn't get everything out BUT it is very barely noticeable. I can only see it because I know where the little dots were. My husband and kids didn't notice it until I pointed it out to them. I can pull it out of the pajama drawer and wear it while running errands. Scent is nice - it says it is unscented, but it does have a scent. It's not heavily fragranced at all, so it doesn't overpower your normal cleaning products. ... show more

    • Decent but don't expect miracles
I tried this on a shirt that had both new and long-term stains. It worked well on the newer ones - or maybe they would have come out even without it, no way to know - but did not magically erase the old stains. It may have lightened them a little bit. I don't think this is any better or any worse than any other stain remover, so I'd just go by whichever is a better deal at the time. ... show more
