Jennifer Turberfield’s new book is simply delightful and a must for house lovers. The beautiful sketches really make the book as they are accurate in design and also very artful. The soft watercolors are just lovely. I am tempted to buy an extra book just so I can frame some of the house sketches. As a realtor of 20 years, I must admit, that I knew very little of the information in this book. Needless to say I have learned a lot reading this book. It will be a constant resource for me. What a neat book! I know it says it’s for real estate agents but I believe it can just as well be for new homeowners or people wanting to buy a home. This book simply lays out different styles and designs for various home features without being inundated by online searches. I’m able to figure out what style shutters I like best (I don’t like my current ones) or what faucets I want in the bathrooms. It’s just nice to be able to see everything side by side and understand what you’re looking for when it comes to homes, exterior and interior. Jennifer has created the perfectly sized, perfectly organized reference book on house styles and architecture. The book is well organized and easy to read and puts info at your finger tips when you need it -- all in a nice smaller format. A few years I bought a beautiful book intended for the same purpose, but it was huge, heavy, hard to navigate and really better serves as an office decoration than a useful tool for my work. Even if you just love all things houses, you'll find this book enjoyable.
