NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the stars of the Netflix series Get Organized with The Home Edit (with a serious fan club that includes Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Mindy Kaling), here is an accessible, room-by-room guide to establishing new order in your home. “A master class on how to arrange even your most unattractive belongings—and spaces—in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-navigate way.”—Glamour (10 Books to Help You Live Your Best Life) Believe this: every single space in your house has the potential to function efficiently and look great. The mishmash of summer and winter clothes in the closet? Yep. Even the dreaded junk drawer? Consider it done. And the best news: it’s not hard to do—in fact, it’s a lot of fun. From the home organizers who made their orderly eye candy the method that everyone swears by comes Joanna and Clea’s signature approach to decluttering. The Home Edit walks you through paring down your belongings in every room, arranging them in a stunning and easy-to-find way (hello, labels!), and maintaining the system so you don’t need another do-over in six months. When you’re done, you’ll not only know exactly where to find things, but you’ll also love the way it looks. A masterclass and look book in one, The Home Edit is filled with bright photographs and detailed tips, from placing plastic dishware in a drawer where little hands can reach to categorizing pantry items by color (there’s nothing like a little ROYGBIV to soothe the soul). Above all, it’s like having your best friends at your side to help you turn the chaos into calm. Read more

  • Lovely; with tips for every space in the home! Lovely; with tips for every space in the home!
Format: Paperback
A book fit to be in the rainbow’s true pot of gold. The Home Edit guide is gorgeous, bright, and approachable, easing the reader into tackling messes through the home. As a long-time follower of The Home Edit, I’ve been trying to infuse their tips and practices into parts of my home, like my pantry and bathroom drawers, however, this book makes me feel like I have a partner in going room by room to categorize, arrange, and spruce up my whole home. Organizing my pantry and bathroom drawers with Clea and Joanna’s tips for using bins (with museum gel in drawers!) and labels has made a major difference in keeping our home neat even with two little kids. Also, they even organize breast pump supplies! This is unheard of and INCREDIBLY helpful. I’m so thrilled to use this guide for the rest of my home. And it’s absolutely beautiful! These ladies are such an inspiration and super funny. Their voices come through in the book so it feels like you’re hearing them y’all as you read (I’m also excited to listen to the audio book!). I can sew myself referring to this book often when o feel like a space is becoming dysfunctional or cluttered. 10\10 recommend!!! ... show more

Format: Paperback
I am a huge fan and believer in The Home Edit! I've lived in chaos most of my life because I had no idea how to create an organization system that actually WORKS long term! The Home Edit does just that! It's an easy, fun read, with lots of real life examples and pictures, and includes a few pages of resources to check out! The whole book walks you through room by room, step by step, how to go about getting rid of the things you don't need/want and organizing the things you do need and love in a way that is both functional and beautiful! Highly highly recommend this book as well as the companion workbook The Home Edit Workbook - by Clea Shearer & Joanna Teplin (Paperback) and The Home Edit Life - by Clea Shearer & Joanna Teplin (Hardcover)! ... show more

  • Both Home Edit books are exactly the same, just with different covers, titles and isbn numbers Both Home Edit books are exactly the same, just with different covers, titles and isbn numbers
Format: Paperback
I am very organized and my house is pretty color coded because we have 3 children and a dog, multiple jobs and responsibilities so I have been color coding my organization since the 80s when I was in high school...and now that trait has gone into my grown childrens' homes as well as some of my workplaces that I've left and they have maintained the color coded organization system. This book was not necessarily purchased for the organization tips per se, it was but I was hoping it would almost be like a catalog of organization products used, and I'm a bit of a bibliophile and THE seemed shelf worthy, so I purchased Amazon's recommended THE trio. *So the 2 pictured books did not state the containers and organization products used, so it was beautiful pictures that you could see for free on instagram and probably facebook--so after perusing the first book I opened the second book when it arrived a few days later---still waiting on the third book of the trio. What I quickly realized is that these 2 books are exactly the same with different titles and covers-- wish that would have been mentioned in the description and also why if the books are EXACTLY the same page for page with the exception of cover and title and the isbn number is different--so my book database recognizes them as 2 completely different books by both the titles and the isbn numbers. And to add more confusion, the THE: Conquer Clutter book has a dust jacket that once removed has yet a different cover on it with no title on the cover (and just The Home Edit on the spine) and the pic is a rainbow colored playroom--completely different from the other 2. So, I am not sure why exact books are titled differently, different covers and isbn numbers unless my book was a print error which I highly doubt. Maybe it's just me but this drove me crazy, because I have not just some visual ocd but have tactile sensitivity too (as well as hyperosmia) so sight, touch and smell are HUGE for me, and this purchase sent my anxiety/ocd reeling, because I received THE: Conquer Clutter first-and had to remove the dust jacket because of the texture, and saw the different cover...so I had to print my own dust cover by scanning and printing the dust cover...but because I know the picture under it doesn't match-- it bugged me. So, I thought I would be sending back the first book: THE: Conquer Clutter, and keeping THE: Guide to Organizing, just because of the dust jacket/cover situation though its more work to go in and adjust my library database and note these are the exact same books (so I don't mistakenly purchase in the future). BUT!!!... Then came the smell--- and sadly I could tolerate the THE: Conquer Clutter better than the 'THE: Guide to Org.." so I have to go back to keeping this book [hate the derogatory term clutter so I will just trash the dust jacket all together- and I think the playroom pic is more appealing anyway and having no title on it helps, and I prefer the spine just titled The Home Edit- gold lettering on the white spine. I will obviously put a label on the inside of the cover with the formal title of the book as shown on the dust cover--but at least I won't have to look at it. The smell of the ink (for my fellow hyperosmians) the Conquer book was printed in Italy on very smooth high gloss sateen like paper and the ink smell is reminiscent of Michael's craft store the bottled acrylic paint section; whereas, the Guide book printed in Canada is printed on more of an egg shell semi gloss paper and the ink smell is reminiscent of the paint remover section of Home Depot (smells more like a turpentine smell). This just seemed like a difficult and very chaotic purchase experience--ironically for books on 'organization', maybe it's just me. So, I will await the third (entitled, "THE Life: No Guilt Guide..." to see how that goes) ... show more

  • I love this book!
Format: Paperback
Originally I thought watching the show would be sufficient, but this book actually put a lot of things into perspective and was enjoyable to read. You wouldn't necessarily think a book on organizing would be interesting or entertaining, but this really is. The pictures are also extremely satisfying to look at. Not only are they bright and colorful, but the organization is something you could just look at all day long. The book is insightful, humorous and realistic. I sincerely love it! ... show more

  • More than just pretty pictures
Format: Paperback
Really enjoyed this book after reading it all the way through. I follow them on Instagram, so I’ve picked up tips over the years, but what I liked about the book was that it really brought together their vision of organization as decor. I knew what they did was pleasing to the eye, but to me, this was a written version of their entire philosophy on organizing that you don’t get in one place on Instagram. I’m a reformed clutter bug and this book spoke to me more than others I have recently read that advised removing all your furniture from a room and putting back only what you love. Yeah, not going to happen. However, their philosophy (stuff vs. space) has changed the way I shop, which I now believe is the heart of organization. The tips are practical and they acknowledge different types of rooms. Not everyone has a giant walk in pantry, but you can take bits and pieces from each of their jobs and apply them to your project. Like any book, you have to take what applies to you and remember that everyone is different. We have different budgets and different amounts of time to devote to organization upkeep, but the inspiration is applicable to everyone. Definitely glad I own this book so I can refer back to it if I ever move as well. Also, the humor is top notch. Dry self-deprecation, yes please. ... show more

  • Books in print are still much needed and The Home Edit proves it!!!
Format: Paperback
The Home Edit team just made my day!!! I waited all day ( and every day since November) to get this book and finally got it. It is so impressive. I can't wait to read it cover to cover (when my kids go to bed). However, my daughter, that is 7, is very much interested in the kids play areas (and everything so colorful and ROYGBIV) and now wants to rip apart the house and start organizing! I was so afraid she was going to rip the pages while she was "tearing through" the book. I asked her if she could describe it in one word and she said "Pretty." and I will totally agree with her that it certainly is pretty and is now in my possession( and I clearly can't just use one word to describe it because I am a hoarder)! I also want to say that you have an amazing Instagram and I LOVE your stories but having your book in print in my home as a guide and to get our home in order just proves that it is extremely important to have tangible, beautiful pages to look through. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so happy that your friend Leah introduced you gals. Loved the page dedicated to her as well...really really cool! Thank you! Peace and Love, Ann and (Her Family) xoxoxo ... show more
