I ended up purchasing this in september for our elf to bring the first day of december. Based on reviews I had read, I had it shipped to my sisters house so that my kiddo would not see it (the reviews said it would not be shipped in a box, but mine was). I got it for just under $18, so definitely watch the price because I did see this in stores around our town as the season got closer for more than double that. All of that being said, my kiddos absolutely LOVED this and I would have paid the double pricetag for it. This will be something that is out every year now. I was expecting super cheap and cheesy pieces, and though the trees are repeated in the calendar, it was much much higher quality-like something I will save for my grand kids. The cardboard train will probably not make it, but that is ok. The minis are super fun and we can create whole scenes with our scout elf. ... show more

It is very cute but our was missing an item for day 17 and I have emailed the company and they have not got back to me and that was over a week ago. My son is super sad and it is frustrating on my end.

My 3 year old loved this and my 7 year old said she would rather have had this one than the - more expensive - Lego calendar I got for her. All the toys and figurines are good quality and there is a lot of play in this. And the slots are easy to open for my 3 year old, unlike the Lego ones. I love the idea of this but the elf figurines and animals are way too too heavy for the train and my son gets so upset they keep tipping out of the train :(

This was a “gift” from our elf to our daughter and she absolutely loved it. She woke up every morning excited to open that days surprise. I highly recommend this elf advent calendar.

My girls (13yrs & 3yrs) had a blast with this calendar this year. Much better than the first one a few years ago. And very happy to report it came in an Amazon box so they had no idea like othet reviews I read where it was shipped in the original box.

I didn't think I would get a premade advent calendar for my kid this year, but then I saw this. I am so glad I bought it. The pieces are a great quality and everything can be used as decorations when she grows to old to want to play with them. I already bought the next one.
