I bought 4 of them and the i bought 4 more for teaching at school. As a music teacher i like 1.- the pitch, the notes are the correct notes. 2.- you can separate each key, which is super useful for early learners, if they only have to play 3 different keys you can just give them those 3, and also you can share between two kids if you dont have enough instruments. 3.- colors are the same of many music methods you can find 4.- The mallets are plastic as usual, I recommend buy wooden ones, they are cheap and that give you a better sound.

I used these with my fourth grade students at the end of the year for a songwriting activity in C Pentatonic alongside boomwhackers and recorders. The students had so much fun using these for the melodic ostenato or the treble clef bourdin. I can’t wait to use these in rotation stations with my younger students. I will say the only issue I’ve run into is students not putting them away properly. But I’ll just have to reach them how to do that. Even though I think it’s easy to understand, the fourth graders struggled a little, but mostly because they weren’t paying attention or in a rush to put things away.

These make beautiful sound and are easy and fun to play. The sticker on the front is WEIRDLY ugly for no reason, I used a hair dryer to remove it and now it's much nicer. I don't know why these aren't more popular, the sound is so lovely. I also improved the design by printing a photo of the set and taping them into the top and bottom of the case so that my 2 year old (and the other adults in the house) knows where to put each one back- you could use colored stickers or markers for the same purpose. It's not necessary but saves time. Overall- highly recommend! Well worth the price.

My two year old grandson loved this toy. Unfortunately, one of the yellow sticks broke on the second use. They seem to be made of plastic and just cracked in half. Should be strong enough to withstand use by a two year old!

This is a great little set. The colors match up pretty well to the bells used with Prodigies, and since the bells have been out of stock, I went with these. The latch on the box seems like it might break after a lot of use, but it is doing well so far
