Description

A New York Times bestseller (with a special sparkly cover)! Experience the beautiful story that captivated the country about a little owl found in the world's most famous Christmas tree. When Little Owl’s home is cut down by people saying it will make a beautiful Christmas tree, she’s not sure she wants anything to do with Christmas, whatever that means. But then she is saved by a woman named Ellen, whose house is merrily decorated for the holiday, and filled with birds who need someone to care for them. Surrounded by kindness and helpful new friends, Little Owl begins to wonder if Christmas might not be such a bad thing after all…. Co-written by Ellen Kalish, caretaker of the real owl found inside the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, The Christmas Owl is a charming story of friendship, compassion, and the true meaning of this special time of year. • Wonderful book
Format: Hardcover
I really loved this Christmas story. The illustrations were lovely and magical. They fit the story perfectly. When the children saw the "real photo" of the Christmas Owl, "Rockefeller", at the end of the story, they collectively "sighed". Wonderful book.

Nice large beautifully bound book with cute colorful illustrations...perfect for sharing. Interesting because it is based on a true story...bonus photos of the real owl at the back of the book are a nice touch. Great story, good to read to early elementary students... pre-k to 3. Sound purchase.

This is a great child’s hardbound book that small hands can help flip the pages. Heartwarming true story so when l found a book about this little owl’s story that I’d learned in the news a couple years ago l had to buy it for my young nephews. Beautifully illustrated.
