Bought to dethatch but then Maine went into a drought so my whole lawn is brown, If I use this rake now, it would pull out all of my crunchy brown grass. The handle isnt the greatest as its jn 4 pieces and even when threaded together tightly, it causes the handle to flex and slightly loosen up, Good solid tines.

There’s not really much to say but the rake is sturdy and it’s design allows it to do the job perfectly, as long as you invest the muscle.

This grass dethatcher, for the price, works well. Something to keep in mind is that whenever you buy a tool like this online, the handle always comes in multiple pieces for shipping so it can be small and compact. This creates a less robust handle than if you got a solid wood or solid metal one. This dethatcher does what it’s supposed to, but it’s definitely not made for heavy-duty landscaping. For small patches and areas, it works fine. You’ll definitely need to wear gloves, as you’re going to have to manually keep the tines clean as you’re working. But other than that, it gets the job done. Good value if you’re doing light yard work!
