    • Teva Continue Forebay for my Lifetime!

I did not realize how shabby my X years old Teva Dozers were, yikes, Teva changed the name to Forebay but thankfully left the design alone. Forebay has both a front and rear toe heel guard and yes that will save you toes and heel. The enclosed design with lots of openings is great for hot Texas weather but looks good enough for most occasions. But the foot bed is the real seller here which means WOW THEY ARE COMFORTABLE! When the yellow line on bottom is gone time to re-order, this is at least my third pair, seniors go for comfort, order a pair you will be delighted! ... show more

    • Great sandals but could be better

Tough to break in. If my feet survive the break-in period they should wear for years. A few slight design changes could make them better and avoid the painful break-in. The traction of the soles is great. Turkish coffee color is not inspiring.

My husband loves these sandle he has short wide feet with a high arch. These sandle provide him the support that he needs while he is doing outside chores or taking our beagles for a walk or while just doing activities with the family. The price on these was fantastic.

The color is not "Turkish Coffee," which to me would be brown, the color is gray. They're for my husband and he does like the fit and comfort but wanted brown. He decided to keep them, they are nice looking.

Been wearing this particular sandal for over 6 years. The only style I’ll buy. Great for hiking, in the water, everyday wear. Theses sandals are the bomb! And they quite nice looking with any outfit, in jeans or shorts.

    • I really want to love these, but...

I had a pair of Teva Deacon sandals, size 12, for many years. I LOVED those so much. They were so freaking comfortable to wear almost anywhere. I could go barefoot and not worry about the straps rubbing wrong on my feet. I could wear socks (highly stylish, I know..) and they were great in any weather except maybe snow. And, most importantly, they were broken in and I could slip on and off - that was wonderful! Now let's talk about these Forebays. Wife got me size 12 for Christmas. Could barely get them on, so exchanged for size 13. Much, much better fit. However, I am PRAYING that these continue to break in. After about 10 days, these are slowly stretching out a bit, and getting more comfortable to wear. But we are nowhere close to the old Deacons just yet. Three things are really bugging me. Not sure if they will improve or not. First, the ankle "hole" is quite a bit smaller on these Forebays. As mentioned, I expect they will expand a bit over time. But right now, I've got the strap that goes over the top of the foot only halfway attached. Hard to explain. Put it this way, I pulled back the velcro strap to open up the ankle hole as much as possible. Then I re-attached the velcro strap, but only covering about half of the strip (as I'm looking down on it). Even then, I am fighting HARD to *slip* my foot in with thick socks. With thin socks, it's a minor challenge. Barefoot, no issue. Second complaint. My pinky toe keeps catching on the holes. It's just in the wrong spot, where my pinky toe starts to pop out, especially when I'm seated. Then I stand up, and my foot moves forward just a bit - but my pinky toes are catching. Easy to adjust and fix, but annoying that it's happening at all. Did not happen with the old Deacons. Third issue. The footbed is just not as comfortable as my Deacons. Maybe that will improve over time, but it's just not as comfortable to take the dog for a walk in these Forebays, as it was my old Deacons. By comfortable, I mean the arch support is different, and I can feel where the strap is rubbing against my feet as I walk. No blisters - have walked 2mi many times in the past 10 days with these - but it just doesn't feel as comfortable. I'll keep them, as I've worn them outside. And they're OK. But what I wouldn't give for a model identical to my old Deacons... ... show more

    • Comfortable and dragle!

I had a pair of these for many years. I worked in them and kicked back too. They are very comfortable in the summer and give good protection. I'm looking forward to many more years of wear with my new ones.
