My reflective sunshade curls at the corners; therefore, does not completely protect my dash from UV rays. So I bought this product to replace the current shade. I found that this umbrella shade does not reflect heat (where in the summer reaches at least 111° on average -123°) is not sustainable for my environment. I have found that using the two together is more effective. The umbrella portion keeps my original aluminum materialed shade in place and fills in the sun piercing gaps. I have additional shades for all windows except the hutch (I have an SUV), and yes it helps but my car is still an oven. It could be likely that many of my problems are due to a black SUV with black Vinyl and black/grey seating. I also have found that bending the apparatus is not helpful, it is more troublesome. In my oven car it cooks the metal and I was not able to retract the shade. Eventually, with some scorched hands, I was able to Straighten the rod enough to retract it. Since learning this day 1, I have not adjusted this portion. I did not return this item, for as I previously stated, is well enough to use simultaneously with all 5 of my other shades. It's better than just letting my interior cook. FYI, I also use a small white sheet to cover my entire center console, including the armrest and gear shift which works like a champ above anything else I've tried so I can drive home after work.

It works well and easy to deploy. I bought this based on Rufus (Amazon AI) saying this was the right fit for my 2013 Equinox. It is just a few inches to big for my vehicle, but that is not the seller's issue. It works, but is not tight in the windshield.

It does what it means to do. At least 20 degrees lower than the outside temperature. I own a Hyundai Sonata, as you can see in the picture, the stick is a bit longer, but it doesn't matter. It covers the windshield and doesn't damage any part of my car. The stick, keep it open or closed. Super convenient and space saver.

I really wanted to like this sunshade. The concept is great, and it’s easy to open and close like an umbrella. But in my car, the fit wasn’t ideal—it left gaps around the edges, and it didn’t sit flush against the windshield. I also didn’t use it that much, and after a few times the long handle broke. It’s a cool design, but maybe not the most durable for daily use.

I purchased the 52x31 for my 2017 BMW x3. It fits perfectly and very easy to install. The video is literally the first time opening and putting it in the windshield. Stays put well. Slightly a little more work to put back In the sleeve for storage, but honestly not that bad.
