These are exactly as presented - they are nicely bound, solid, plastic-surfaced stiff-paper covers (so no coffee stains, etc), with rounded low-snag corners and in four colors. These are A5-sized (5.9 inch by 8.3 inch), which are similar to US steno-sized pads (6x9), but these are side-bound rather than top-bound as used for stenography. The wire binding allows them to lay flat, and if you are left handed and are so inclined, you can flip them and write with the binding on the right. Great for any type of writing: poems, lyrics, class or meeting notes, shopping lists, etc.

The notebooks are perfect for my needs, being just the right size, approximately 5" x 8-1/4". I like this size because I feel that I am not wasting paper and I can tuck the notebook right into my desk. The front and back covers are made of plastic so they will hold up for as long as necessary. There are four colors so you can easily find the right notebook. Great tool to keep organized!
