I bought these to replace my lousy HewesnCdaft seats that required replacing the metal hinges. I wondered if the plastic hinges on the Tempress seats would hold up. After 3 years of use, they are still fine and thenseats are very comfortable.

Comfy, sturdy, and sleek looking. One of the seats I replaced with this one was a 15+ year old Tempress that had seen its days in the sun, but was still in very good shape. I feel confident these Tempress seats will last just as long if not longer. Came with mounting bolts too. Most important: Made in the USA! Didn't love the price, but do love the seats and am even having better fishing results with them ;) ... show more

After buying a boat that needed some work I tried to cheap out on the seats to save money, I started with $50 seats and didn't like those, then I bought some $100 seats and those were only a little better. The problem with the cheap seats is they were too small. You couldn't slide back far enough to feel like you were total on the seat and the back was too straight up and down, there is no way I could sit on those all day. The Tempress ProBax Orthopedic seats may be a lot more expensive but they are totally worth the money. They are very comfortable, the material is tough and they are well designed. The quality just rings, they should last for years. When you are fishing, you spend a lot of time on your butt, don't try to cheap out on the seats or you will be sorry. I am very satisfied with these seats and wish I would have just started with these and save the time and trouble. ... show more

These seat fit nice bolted onto the bench seat in my Boston whaler. They're comfortable. The seats look to be well made. I cannot comment on there longevity because we just put them in. The 4 stars instead of 5 stars reflect the fact that the seat came with different size bolts. 2 short and 2 long. The short were not usable. We had to go to the hardware store and buy long bolts . ... show more

I often fish in choppy water with a lot of rocking and bouncing in my smaller boat. Sometimes my back and tailbone would hurt for a week after one of these trips so I invested in one of these seats and a shock absorber post and what a difference they made. My back felt so much better after the last trip and I didn't even need the usual recovery time. I just wish they were cheaper. I'd get 3 more. :-) ... show more

I was surprised how much more comfortable the high back is compared to the low back seats. They are expensive but worth every penny. I am 6' 1" 230#.
