This wagon folds very flat for convenient storage. However, it folds so flat that it won't stand upright. Luckily it includes an adjustable strap that can be loosened so that it partially expands and becomes stable. It does remain full-width when collapsed - the folding is only along the length of the wagon. When open, the wagon is very large with deep walls. The top is only supported on the shorter front and rear walls, so care must be taken with the lip of the side walls. There is a cinch strap to provide tension, but I wouldn't lean things across. There are assorted pockets around the outside, as well as a pair of large hoops on one side to strap chairs/tents or other long objects to the outside - a very nice touch. Wheels are a bit skinny and will probably sink in sand, but work fine on solid grounds. The front wheels are inset so they nest inside the rear wheels when collapsed. They are also linked to the handle for steering - not free spinning casters. The handle telescopes to a good length, and has enough friction in the hinges to stay where you leave it, which is excellent. There is a push-button detent to keep it in the extended position, and a plastic grip to hold it upright in either stored and extended position. The handle is also used to steer the front wheels. This will make an excellent gear wagon for camping trips or other events with lots of cargo to carry. The flat fold means in won't take up a ton of space in your car, since there will likely be lots of other gear to transport as well. ... show more

This wagon is perfect! It came folded as pictured in the first couple pictures. So convenient and the quality of the wagon is even better than the ‘original’ colored wagon name brand. This feels sturdy, and is a nice sleek all black design.
