The straps have a little bit of give, or stretchiness so they slipped on and held in place well. The heel height is perfect if you want a bit of a lift but don't want to wear high heels. These are very narrow. I don't think they are even a medium width. Also I'm concerned about the decorations coming off. I'm considering returning these. I don't think I can wear them for even a few hours at a time. But cute though.
