Features

  • 90-tooth gear produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees
  • 180-degree, 9-position flex head lets you approach your work from any angle
  • Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length
  • Extra long bent handle offers extended reach and clearance for your hand
  • Biased drive direction switch ensures the ratchet gear is engaged at all times, preventing slips or free-wheeling

Description

Made to access hard-to-reach fasteners, the Tekton 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Flex Head Quick-Release Bent Handle Ratchet has an agile 180-degree Flex Head and extra long bent handle. The 90-tooth gear (swing arc of just 4 degrees) and ultra-compact head don't need much room to operate, ideal for working in tight spaces. Its polished exterior has a chrome plated finish that's corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

  • Good bent handle ratchet
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Quick-Release Bent Handle
I first bought the GW ratchet for spark plugs on a 04 durango 5.7l. It also is a good ratchet, but the detents didn't seem as well engaged as this tekton. I also like the quick release feature since it's difficult sometimes to get the socket off of the ball detent without removing the socket from the fastener. This is also a bit longer than the GW but nothing to brag about. I grab for this ratchet now. I no longer need an extension to get to the oil pan drain on the 5.7l hemi. I can configure this to slide in between the xmember and the pan so that the had is angled in to get a 1/2" shallow socket on the drain plug. The head also stays in place very well. ... show more

  • Great product and better Seller
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Quick-Release Bent Handle
Props to Tekton, the product was great. Everything I needed. Unfortunately I had a mishap where the bolt that holds the head I’m broke and I reached out to their warranty dept and they had a brand new ratchet in my hands within 2 days. No questions just needed a pic to see what happened. Stand up company in todays warranty world. ... show more

tekton builds very good ratchets. One of my favorites! Tekton tools are fantastic.

  • Good quality, not my style though
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Non-Quick-Release Bent Handle
My issues with this are more to do with the ratchet type than the actual brand or specific model. If you're a professional looking specifically for one of these, a mechanic I'm guessing, it's fine as any professional tool goes. I'm an electrician, though, and I've found that the swinging head feature is #1 not in any way useful for me in a more open setting than an engine bay and #2 is a real bother with how I use a ratchet. I'm used to just cranking bolts on the perpendicular axis, and with this flex head design I seem to need a second hand just to keep the thing from flexing out and falling off the bolt head, or a very steady and precise swinging motion. I'm sure there's a technique to that, but I don't use this ratchet often enough due to it being extra long, so I've not picked it up. No matter what, though, it's going to require a deal more concentration and effort than a fixed head ratchet, and my job's hard enough as it is, so wasting effort on a basic tool isn't ideal. The actual tool quality is high, and the ratcheting action is very smooth, and the direction switch clicks nicely. The handle could use some stippling or better grip surface is all. ... show more

  • Fantastic!
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Quick-Release Bent Handle
Perfect for those hard to reach bolts when laying under a vehicle. The swivel head ratchet is a must have, and this particular ratchet has a longer stem with a bend at the end for leverage for those tough bolts, I had no problem getting my transmission bolt off to check my fluid level with this, it saved me from severe burns from the cat. It is well made and a great quality ratchet at an extremely good price point! I will probably be back to order the 1/2" drive ratchet with 14" stem. I highly recommend this to anyone that works on vehicles. ... show more

  • My new favorite ratchet.
Size: 1/2 Inch Drive x 14 Inch Style: Quick-Release Bent Handle
I really like this ratchet. It is comfortable, durable and well built. It works so much better than standard ratchets. It operates in spaces others can't. Which in turn saves time and frustration. I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

  • Great for an inexpensive tool
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Quick-Release Bent Handle
I like the fact that it is a close ratio and easy to get into tight places and I didn’t spend an arm and leg for it. It’s what I can spend at the time.

  • Amazing flex head ratchet.
Size: 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 Inch Style: Quick-Release
Excellent value for money. If you’ve seen these on YouTube, they’re both highly durable (they bend before they break under insanely high torque) and nice to use in the hand.
