  • All TMNT fans!
Childhood dreams coming true. Just like the arcade game of TMNT I used to play and the quality is amazing! I pre-ordered this and I love it! My kids love it and it’s so classic.

  • A must have!
It's an all around fun game to get into if you're a fan of the tmnt series of beat 'em ups. It's like going back to the 90's with a fresh revamp of the graphics, music and gameplay of today!

  • I can't say enough about this game
I've been playing video games for decades - I was in high school when SF2 and Final Fight were the kings of arcades. I've played the original TMNT arcade game, the NES games, the SNES game, and, well, a ton of other beat-em-ups during my tenure. For me, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge stands out as an absolute gem - without any doubt, the best beat-em-up I've ever played. The pacing is perfect, the speed is amazing. Your characters are fast, powerful, and can combo like nobody's business. Levels are beautifully designed, and I can't say enough about the amazing retro soundtrack. At the price it's going for, it's an absolute steal. There are tons of throwbacks to the earlier games ("Big Apple, 3 PM") and enough fan service to please even the most skeptical fans. In short, if you haven't played it yet, you're missing out ... show more

  • I love playing this game with my kids
This is the classic beat em up game from the arcades. Or at least it reminds me of it. It's very close. I love it. My kids and I play the game every once in awhile and we got the expansion pack for it with the extra characters. It's so much fun. I highly recommend it if you grew up playing the arcade game and are feeling nostalgic. Game on! ... show more

  • I love TMNT
The media could not be loaded. It's a great beat em up game, for all ages. I love the music and the characters, I love the areas to fight and the villains are great. Definitely worth it :)

  • Two or Three Hours of Fun
I’m old enough to have played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the arcades as well as the sequel, Turtles in Time. I’d always play with a friend and have fond memories of the experience. I’ve seen multiple reviewers claim that Shredder’s Revenge is the greatest side scrolling beat ‘em up of all time. The question is whether or not side scrolling beat ‘em ups are even worth it on the home console in this day and age. When I first played this game, it was online with a friend and someone else at the house and we had a blast. It brought back all those old feelings of nostalgia playing in the arcades. It’s definitely an advancement over the arcade version in terms of graphics but still has a very retro feel and it’s not pushing the capabilities of the Switch. After awhile I asked my buddy over the phone how many levels there were and he told me 16. That is a LONG game for a beat ‘em up and I was starting to get tired. Finally, we finished off Shredder and the closing credits ran. At this point I’m faced with the same problem I have with other beat ‘em ups. Now what? In the 80’s and 90’s, beat ‘em ups were ubiquitous because they were basically cutting edge. We would simply play the same levels over and over again. My friend and I played Story mode a few days later but it’s 90% the same as Arcade mode. I unlocked Casey Jones and that was pretty much it. It’s basically the same feeling I had with Streets of Rage 4 although SoR4 had more unlockables. I’ve put about 2 or 3 hours into Shredder’s Revenge, and I really don’t have a burning desire to jump into it again. There are tons of achievements, but I really don’t like playing for achievements rather than the sheer fun of playing. I think I have to just face facts that what I loved when I was younger just doesn’t really appeal to me anymore. It’s the same with Shoot ‘em up games. I used to play them all the time when I was a kid and might still toss in a quarter or two at the arcade, but they are extremely shallow for a home experience. They are fun for maybe one or two run throughs but then you’ve seen pretty much everything. There are many games on the Switch that I’ve put 40 or more hours into as compared to a few hours on a Beat ‘em up or Shoot ‘em up. I think Shredder’s Revenge would have been better if there were a handful of unlockable characters rather than one and maybe some branching in the arcade mode. I might literally avoid playing arcade mode because I don’t feel like slogging through 16 levels in one sitting with a friend. If the game had branching, it could have the same levels or more but not be so long on a single playthrough. The gameplay was fine but nothing spectacular. I wouldn’t put it above SoR4 or a game like Fight ‘N Rage. I figure this game will get set aside and every once in a while I may pop it in and play a little bit with a friend online. Not sure if that was worth $35 for me. ... show more

  • Grandson said, "best birthday gift ever!".
Given as a gift, it was very well received! It is a favorite and had been played over and over again. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back and being enjoyed by a whole new generation of kids. Highly recommended. Hope this helps.
