  • Would Buy Again!

Fantastic piece of kit! Not only is the aesthetic incredible, but this thing is truly a sampling powerhouse. I love chaining it together with my pocket operators to create some incredible Lo-Fi Beats and I like the new song mode that allows me to string my scenes together for a full production. Can't recommend enough! ... show more

  • Packs a punch for it's size!
Color: EP–133 128MB
The media could not be loaded. Recently got the K.O. II to add to my home studio gear/equipment. I've been buying and, using various drum machines since 2004. And predominantly use my Akai MPC1000 to this day! BUT...I really liked how this looks. The portability etc...So I finally got around to buying one. It has been surprisingly easy to get into using. Actually didn't even read the (digital) manual. Just powered it up and jumped into work. It has a lot of features you can do on it. Despite being a pretty little, simple drum machine/sampler. It runs on X4 AAA batteries. And surprisingly lasts a long time before needing to recharge or replace the batteries. It can record sounds in with either the mic function. Or, you can use input to smaple in. The sound quality is pretty good. A little gritty and I like that. Some cool special effects for sounds. You can use output to record into a soundcard. It's made of decent materials. And though it's light. It is a little heavier feeling than it looks. The pads are responsive. As are the knobs and fader. Has a headphone jack. Overall I find the K.O. II to be a really great piece of studio equipment. My only real complaint is the storage/memory size. It is limited. You can only save like 559 sounds. And only 9 beats at a time. There is no slot for any flash or SD card to exapand the memory. ... show more
