Description
With Digitakt II, you can weave splinters of sound in stereo, ripped from the moment and brought to your fingertips for marvelous manipulation and beat arraying. Preserve or distort reality as you so desire with 16 tracks of samples in stereo, mono, or MIDI. Utilize super-powered versions of classic features and a whole bunch of new ones via an updated modular workflow and an expanded sequencer. With enough memory for a lifetime of samples, your sonic sculpting potential will know no bounds. The Digitakt II empowers you to capture and manipulate sound with precision. Its 16 stereo tracks and modular workflow allow for creative sampling, whether external or internal, quantized or free. With enhanced memory and effects, users can craft unique beats, melodies, and sonic textures effortlessly. The sequencer is a powerful tool for intricate music creation. Offering 16 flexible tracks, it allows you to build rhythmic patterns, melodies, and complex arrangements. With features like real-time recording, parameter locks, and micro-timing adjustments, the sequencer unlocks endless creative possibilities for dynamic, evolving compositions. The Digitakt II’s FX section is a playground for sonic exploration, offering tools to elevate your soundscapes. With delay and reverb for spatial depth, along with bit reduction and filter effects for grit and character, users can sculpt audio with precision. The FX can be locked to parameters, layered creatively, and manipulated live, giving unparalleled control for both studio production and live performances. It’s where raw sound transforms into art. The Digitakt II's modulation capabilities bring dynamic expression to any sound. With versatile LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators), users can shape parameters like pitch, filter, and amplitude to add movement and depth. The modulation can sync to the tempo or operate freely, allowing for organic textures, evolving soundscapes, and intricate rhythmic variations. Perfect for creative experimentation. The Digitakt II excels in connectivity with its MIDI ports, offering comprehensive "ins and outs" for seamless integration into any setup. It includes MIDI In, Out, and Thru ports, enabling synchronization with external gear like synthesizers, drum machines, and controllers. Users can send and receive MIDI signals to sequence external devices or control the Digitakt II from other equipment. This makes it a versatile hub for both studio workflows and live performances. The kit-building functionality lets you design and save custom sound palettes, ideal for crafting cohesive musical projects. Kit mode allows swift navigation and management of these kits, streamlining sound selection during performances or studio sessions. Song mode empowers users to sequence patterns and kits into full compositions, offering tools for arranging, transitioning, and structuring songs with ease. Sample externally or internally, freely or quantized to the tempo. With a radically enhanced memory capacity, and up to 30 minutes of stereo samples per project, you can take your ideas anywhere. Mix the layers of your sonic landscape using any of the five distinct sample-manipulating Machines. Slice samples into precise fragments with Grid, or venture into new sonic territories with Werp. Three LFOs per track give you the chance to go wild in modulation land. Try different waveforms and destinations on for size. Go subtle or go weird, both can be wonderful. Dip your brush into vibrant delay and reverb, widen your spectrum with chorus, and get destructive with bit reduction and sample rate reduction, or Overdrive. Guitar FXs let you add pedal and studio effects to a guitar connected to the dedicated Guitar input on the back of the instrument. MIDI connection can now also be done through the USB HOST ports (in addition to the USB DEVICE and the MIDI ports). There are 128 steps on Digitakt II for your digits to traverse –double the previous amount. And that’s just the start. Mix math and music, with the Euclidean sequence generator, courtesy of ancient algorithms, leading to the discovery of surprising rhythms; let the pattern roll the dice with conditional trigs. And use trig modes for a variety of fun functions – 16 levels of velocity, retrig mode, or bring the Preset Pool to the surface of the 16 triggers to record multiple sounds into one track. Connect to your other gear with balanced stereo ins and outs. The 16 tracks can be used for MIDI in, out, and thru, so you can sequence, play, and control full flocks of external instruments. MIDI is now able to quickly learn from your devices, sending them renamable CCs, triggers, sequences, and LFOs that can be saved to your kit for quick recall.
