The SL-1200MK7 has been newly developed in all new direct-drive motors, platters, and chassis, while the placement of the tone arms and various control switches follow the layout and feel of the SL-1200MK series, making it easy to use. The renewed coreless direct drive motor is also tuned with a specially developed aluminum die cast and rubber bonded 2-layer platter to give it the same inertia properties as SL-1200MK6. The torque control of the motor has also been revised to pursue the same operational feel as the previous 1200MK series from start torque and brake speed. While incorporating the latest technology, maneuverability and feel are still traditional. The more you manipulate it, you will see the evolution of the SL-1200MK7.
