  • DO NOT BUY Gemini TT-4000 turntables!
I purchased 2 of these new, and after a month of unresolved issues, email and phone calls with Gemini Support, they said, “destroy them and we will replace them with 2new turntables.” Sent pictures documenting their destruction and received new replacements. Turntable issues resolved? NOOOO!!! The 2 replacements had the same issues, anti-skating didn’t work and wouldn’t play end of LPs or any 45s, cartridge and headshell skated across records, plus a new issue, BOTH new turntables had major Wow and Flutter issues. That means the records sped up, slowed down at beginning of play, and then would speed up and slow down again 4-5 seconds later. These replacements are unusable!! I want my money back, but Gemini Support says since they were bought through Amazon, they can’t do that, so I’m stuck once again with turntables, brand new, out of the box, that aren’t usable. DO NOT BUY GEMINI TURNTABLES!! Too bad we can’t give 0 “stars”. ###################### It has 3 months since my Reviews in July 2023. I heard from the Amazon vendor, Speakers Direct, shortly afterward, asking if we (my wife bought one as a surprise, and I needed two), would like a ‘Full refund’, and I replied saying, “Yes, please give a refund.” It’s 3 months later and I haven’t received a Refund, or the courtesy of a Reply from the vendor or Amazon. Again, DON’T WASTE TOUR MONEY ON THIS TURNTABLE, or buy them here. I’d give this item Zero Stars if it was possible. ... show more

  • Great torque, lousy pitch and speed control
At first glance the table looks a lot like what we're used to seeing in the DJ Arena now of course being what I paid for it I didn't expect it to be anything like a technique 1200 but the torque for back queuing and scratching was great what was Bismol is the fact that the motor when released sped up so fast and then slow down to compensate to try to keep the 33 in the third speed that it was all over the place and Pitch adjustments whether I don't know what kind of mechanism they're using it's definitely not the hand pin type but it was all over the place as well sounded terrible needless to say even with the key lock on you would hear that difference if it wasn't for that I probably would have kept them as a beginner turntable kind of deal just to have around the house I've been mixing since 85 and being on techniques I was again I wasn't expecting that but still nothing that I still believe a $200 price tag should even come close it should at least perform somewhat better than that so if you're a new beginning DJ and you're just learning and you don't mind spending to 250 on these tables okay great but just understand that the performance are going to be subpar and that's the reason why I gave it two stars other than that the sound was great the needle worked fine oh you know in one table the anti-skating worked in the other table the anti skating did not..... So Jim and I need to really get a deal with that and their quality to control also needs to be addressed because my slip mats one came with Gemini slip mats and the other one was playing so I don't know what happened unless they just ran out of slip mats I guess it's best to say that they gave me a slip mat but they didn't say Gemini on it and the other problem that I remember is when I got them back and shipping The Platters were all loosen every box they had a spot for them in the styrofoam but they were flying all over the box and that's how one of them broke one of the tabs on my first table that I had to return and get back and purchase another one. ... show more

  • The drive does not operate properly
Put the turntable together. It looked solid and like it was good quality. Hooked everything up seamlessly. Put on a LP and sounded great for about 10 seconds. It then slowed down. Picked up at correct speed and slowed again. I ran the turntable for about 10 - 15 minutes to give it "break-in" time hoping it would stop slowing down and run consistently. Nope. Sounds terrible. Returned. Would not recommend. ... show more

  • Nice Turntable to Practice "DJ"ing.
The media could not be loaded. I can't find a problem with this turntable yet. I'm having a blast playing my old records. I can't wait to start scratching!

  • Surprised my Wife after belt drives let us down
This is a really nice unit. Great clarity And I'm the Cats meow after I surprised my Wife with this. Belt drives just kept stretching or motors slowed. Now she can listen to all her vintage vinyl and get consistent play. And if by some reason it sounds too slow or fast, it has a pitch slider +or- 10%. Light weight and it can be run through your usb to a computer as well . ... show more

  • Bought some old classical records
At a garage sale for the memories sake of it. I'm in my 60s and my dad loved to listen to records. We had two types of music which is kind of funny - classical and western. I am talking Mozart to Patsy Cline or Marty Robbins! I listend to the western records, but it was the classical that I loved most. We had a hi-fi unit in my room that had shelves above the record player body of the piece of furniture - that Danish modern look that so many people want these days. So having found a bunch of classical records, I did need a turntable to play them on. I did get a spray and cloth made to clean older records and then I set up this Gemini Sound with my Onkyo 7.2 A/V receiver. Pulled a Beethoven Symphonies record and set it on the Gemini. Oh, the sound! To my decades-older ears, the record sounded great and it did take me back to sitting on the floor in front of the hi-fi and just losing myself in the beautiful sounds of violins and flutes, pianos, oboes and other instruments the masters wrote their music for. I'm no audiophile but I can say that this Gemini turntable, along with some old records, took me back to a favorite time in my past. Was it worth the price? Yes! ... show more
