And the gold and white look beautiful. Only issue I had was I used an electric screwdriver and it sometimes stripped the white paint where I was screwing. BUT you don't see it so I don't really care. I LOVE this desk. It's surprisingly sturdy and very cute. I didn't run into any issues with screw holes not lining up or faulty hardware. The only downfall is, as some others mentioned, the drawers are much smaller than they appear. The reason for 4 stars is I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact the drawer handles are a different shade of gold than the rest of the desk. I definitely don't love that but I may just be overly picky. Assembly wasn't necessarily difficult but it's VERY time consuming. It took me about 3 hours to do by myself and I've assembled a lot of furniture over the years. Instructions are clear and easy to read, it's just A LOT of steps and A LOT of screws. It actually matches a cabinet I bought off Amazon years ago perfectly, so that makes me extra happy! All in all, I would definitely recommend this desk, I would just suggest having help when assembling it. ... show more

My husband and I have bought many ready-to-assemble pieces of furniture, and if you've had any experience with these types of purchases, you know the frustration that they can cause; especially when the instructions are poorly written and illustrated. I have to admit, when this arrived in the mail, in two separate boxes, I was dreading the process of putting the desk together. To our surprise, I was stressing for no reason. Every piece of this desk was labeled. Likewise, the hardware came labeled and packaged in individual bags, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow with nice diagrams to offer further explanation of the process. I always order to put together myself. I never had such a horrible item to try and put together. I took part **3** times the item with drawers, where finally I after 5 day’s trying to get it to fit correctly. I tore it all apart and took it to the dumpster. I lost a large sum of money but I gave up 🆙 it got the best of me. It would have been the $80.00 for them to assemble it for me.It would have been worth it ! ... show more
