    • Best carry option for Ruger LC9 or LC380!
This is hands down the best carry option for the Ruger LC9 or LC380. Yes, this clip works flawlessly with the LC380, and eliminates [MY] need for any other holster (see below). First, to dispel another review: NO, this clip does NOT interfere with the take down pin. It does not interfere with anything on the gun, including your grip or trigger finger when "off trigger". Second, regarding install issues. Keep in mind the same force will be needed to install the included pin as will be necessary to remove the factory pin. Will it be tight? Probably. Will it align perfectly before installation. Probably not. Will it work for your gun? Yes, as long as it's a Ruger LC9 or LC380. For the LCP380, you need a different model clip. Proper method for install (assumes RH model): Remove factory pin. Remove the threaded screw from included pin. Insert included Pin from left side of gun, all the way into the gun (tap lightly with mallet if necessary) until the panhead of the pin sits flush with the gun. Insert the screw through the hole in the clip first, then place the threads of the screw into up to the pin (now in the gun) and start tightening. This is the only way to adjust for slight manufacturing differences between gun and clip. Tighten securely and you're done. #1 reason I like this clip is that it supports many different carry options instantaneously without requiring me to switch holsters. ie: if I'm carrying in the front pocket of my jeans, but then need to use that pocket for something else (ie: cell phone) I can just move the gun to in the waste band carry. If it's warm and I'm wearing shorts, easily sits in a cargo pocket. And sometimes my "favorite carry position" doesn't fit every situation or every article of clothes (ie: bowling). With this clip I no longer have to plan ahead and carry a different holster (or get stuck hiding my gun in my shoes). I just move to a different carry position. Couldn't be simpler, and definitely increases the likelihood I will carry 100% of the time. Pros: Easy to install (see above) and is secure. Supports multiple carry options instantaneously without the need to have multiple holsters. Increases the likelihood of 100% carry dramatically, at least for me. Cons: None for the clips functionality. Only con is price and seller options. Why don't more sellers offer these clips? ... show more

For my quick grab conceal, it’s great, not really an all day comfort and wouldn’t recommend for a firearm that doesn’t have a manual safety, the one I mounted it on does, sits fairly low in the waistband, so drawing quickly takes some adjustment/practice. But for a quick grab to have a light single stack with you that doesn’t require a holster or specific belt/attire it’s pretty handy and gets a lot of use. Mine came with blue loctite on the bolts already, snugged them up and haven’t seen any issues with several hundred rounds put through it since it has been mounted, and months of carrying it several times a week. Backplate fit well and snug, no rattles or play. Also drops in the back pocket well when you need it out of the way and concealment isn’t a concern but you want some retention for security. Would recommend for the right firearm with practice. ... show more

I like how it’s not bulky and you have underwear on anyways that that protects it from rubbing on your skin. Only thing I didn’t like was where the pin goes in and you screw it in, there’s no way to hold the other side and really snug it down. Other then that seems to be very comfortable. Very easy install and I have a feeling I will get used to it and like it ... show more

    • Excellent Customer Service from Techna Clip!

I've never left a review for any product prior to this but feel one is deserved in this case. Although my experience started out poorly it finished very well. I purchased a Techna Clip for my S&W Shield .40 from a provider on Amazon and it shipped promptly no problems. When I tried to install the provided part, however, it was machined poorly and would not fit. I carefully filed the piece until it would drop in but the fit was not exact. I felt the pistol was safe to test fire (and it was) but after shooting several rounds the pistol wasn't functioning properly and a few rounds stove-piped which was very uncharacteristic for the weapon. I feel this may have been due to the clip having slight movement which created contact/drag on the slide when the rounds were cycling. I removed the clip and contacted Techna Clip directly and explained the situation. The customer service rep was extremely helpful and immediately sent a replacement at no charge. The new part dropped in perfectly and after shooting several rounds there were no problems. The packaging on the first clip was different than the replacement so I'm assuming the faulty part was an earlier version and perhaps corrections had been made to quality control. The bottom line is that for me, it's a great concealed carry option and the folks at Techna Clip stand behind their products...I highly recommend. By the way, I also installed a Techna Clip on a S&W Bodyguard .380 with no problems whatsoever. ... show more
