I checked to make sure I had all the parts that were shown in the instructions and started putting it together. The drill is only if you have one. We did like the material that the furniture itself is made out of, like MDF, it's heavy and sturdy. It does though chip a bit easy, so make sure to inspect your package on arrival. I had a few small cosmetic defects but it certainly wasn't enough to jump through the hoops of returns and put the company through that expense. We made do. The mirror material is some sort of thin material so it warps on the edges like a fun house mirror. It also does not tolerate cleaning and will scratch instantly. That's a bit irritating because the rest is so impressive and the reason we bought it was for it to be an actual working piece of furniture with a mirror. For the price, I'm not impressed. The built "wood" part is great, the mirror is terrible and the finish is not great. But for my daughter- she's over the moon and it will last her for years. She is 6 and we expect her to use it for quite a while for nails and hair for school. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by this vanity! I had been searching for a while to get something the right size. My daughter just turned 3 & I didn’t want her to grow out of it too fast, but I also wanted her to be able to easily get on/off stool herself. This was the perfect size. It’s super durable & easy to wipe clean. I do wish the mirrors were a little better quality (also the plastic was incredibly difficult to get off the mirrors - I had to use an exacto knife along the edges).     • Christmas Fail
Well the vanity arrived a week before Christmas however I did not open it then. Biggest mistake I could have made. I was super excited about the vanity because I knew my make up artist 3 year old would love it. It was the main gift to be under the tree and her other gift were centered around the idea of her being glamorous. Well I opened the box at 3 am Christmas morning to assemble the vanity. Upon opening the boxes I noticed a few chips here and there, no big deal because they were not very visible to someone just looking at the vanity. So I continued to take the pieces out the box. I get to the mirrors. The left mirror fine, right mirror fine, center mirror cracked. Ok still trying to be positive I’m saying to myself it’s a small crack at the top corner barely even noticeable, once I add her accessories at decorations to it who will even see it. So I continue till I’ve removed every item from the box. All except the hardware which is completely missing. The biggest disappointment of my Christmas Day. My child will be waking up ready to open gifts and I have a box with damaged and missing pieces. So I go on the amazon app and simply ordered a replacement vanity. Easy. It will be here on the 28th according to amazon the app says it’s not available until later so idk. And now I have put all the parts back into the box to take it to UPS to ship back and checking the box out to see how are all the labels going to be cover. Easy just one label. But I then notice another label underneath my label. The vanity had been returned previously and I’m the unfortunate sole to get the damaged and missing pieces vanity for a Christmas gift for my child. ... show more
