It doesn't crease if it folds while you're trying to put it up, which is awesome. Definitely better than paper in that way. Not hard to match up to it if you need to cut and add a new piece. Overall I think this is a great product that looks great on my boards! However I am really bummed how easily packaging tape (which teachers use all the time) can damage the material. I had tape on for a few minutes while trying to hang on some glass and when I went to take it off, some of the fabric came with it.
