    • Nothing to load, is false. It can be a nightmare to root phone and it voids the warranty
I have an Samsung 9Plus and bought this phone, because Samsung decided not to support the 9's or add android 11 to this model. The first annoyance of the TCL 20Se was the Sound controls on the right side. making it too easy to lower the setting or turn it off when turning the phone on or off. I was pleased with the size and feel of the phone, even though it has several quirks. The USB, being one, but that seems to be corrected with an OTG 3. USB cable adapter. I've waited 3 months to review this phone and the latest is a deal breaker, that has me thinking of trying to replace it. The phone decides to not allow my voice to be transmitted on out going calls and does not ring or allow any sounds from the caller when connected. I've found the fix is to shut down, reboot and it's fine until it decides to do it again, which is becoming more often. I found out I've missed several calls and only find them by searching Recent. Than unless I reboot, cannot carry on a conversation with the called. If I cannot find a permanent fix for this, it's a boat anchor, Will try to work around it for a short while, as I really do like the phone and am unhappy with Samsung. Hopefully TCL is aware of the problems and will issue a fix. ... show more

My old phone broke so I was in a pinch for a new one so I got on Amazon to see if it was cheaper than going to cricket and it was! I did a lot of searching before deciding on this phone. I needed one that was compatible with Cricket and I wanted to make sure it was before I bought it. I read tons of reviews on other phones and this one was the only confirmed yes for cricket. This was super easy to set up as well. All I had to do was take my sim card out of the old phone and put it in this one and from there it walked me through set up. The only bad thing I have to say about this phone is that I can't find a cute case for it at all (on Amazon at least) and that sucks. The battery life is amazing on this, I can watch tv on it all day and go to work and not charge it till I get home. 10/10 recommend ... show more

Phone looks nice. It is longer than what I had expected. It is running Android 11. Reasonable specs overall until you get to the cons. Some of these cons such as the WiFi was not listed or NFC. -Cons WiFi No 5Ghz only 2.4Ghz No NFC but has Googlepay installed? I uninstalled several stock apps and they reinstalled a few times after I had uninstalled them. Odd? I have backup disabled why would they? The 3.5 mm audio jack is at the top of the phone. Audio Jack when plugged in to my car aux cable sounds so low and distorted. Plugged in my old phone and just works and sound levels are great. It appears to have 2 bottom speakers but audio only comes from one at the bottom. It says dual speakers. The picture shows audio from top and bottom but when playing audio only plays on the bottom side. The Sim card seems to unmount/disconnect which meant I had no service. Then I have to restart it to fix it. On my old umidigi phone never had an issue with that. This was within all about 24 hours of using it. I sent it back for a refund and trying another phone. I figured I could live without WiFi 5Ghz, then I could live without NFC, then everything else started up as dominoes. Hope your experience is different than mine. ... show more

Purchased 12/7/21, and loved it. The back panel of the phone started to separate from the body within 8 mo. Today, 11/28/22, could not turn off, sign in…unresponsive and no way to operate. I can’t even get it to transfer photos, etc!

Afraid to use fingerprint or face recognition. They may work fine I just am old and don't trust it. Otherwise everything else works as advertised. Then 10 months later the charging port broke and the phone repair place said it will cost $125 to get the part that is in china.

I got this phone in March 2022, with in two months it started dropping service. I had to restart the phone every couple of days, now its almost every day. Working with service through email, tried to fix, but still having the same problem. Also some apps don't work proper, I see in other post that some having the same problem with apps. I sent copy of receipt to service for warranty, lets see what happens now. ... show more
