The media could not be loaded. Let me say first that I am a fully hands on experienced flooring installer for over 24 years. Mostly tile and hardwood until about 10 years ago when vinyl plank started to trend and been taking out carpet and putting down lvp pretty much every job I go on. I too was a little doubtful that this thing would even hold up to my standards. If your still using a notched or grooved tapping block or even a scrap piece of floor, once you use this and get the amount of force you need. You'll use nothing but this tapping block. See most people's problems with laying floor planks is they are beating the crap of the planks and then want to blame it on the tool or the product. When the fact is you must be gentle and patient. If your having to hit any ridgid core click lock planks real hard then your doing something wrong. That's why it's called a tapping block instead of a beating block. I used to do the same thing and get frustrated until I put the smooth on it. Layed 600 square feet of LL Flooring own made ridgid core vinyl plank flooring with this and will not use anything else again. Trust me give it a try and I promise you you'll be grinning after you see how tight your floor gets using this thing It don't scar, it don't break, and it don't damage the tongue or groove unless you beat the hell out of it. That's all I can say now it's up to you if wanna save time or money get used to this thing you can thank me later the attached video is like the 12th or 13th flooring job I've done with it in about 3 weeks time so it definitely took a using and it's still going strong as of yesterday. I used the tapping block to install lifeproof vinyl plank laminate flooring. I was disappointed with the flooring because the long grooves were so fragile. The traditional installation kit was too small and damaged the grooving when I tapped the pieces together. The larger weighted tapping block spread the force out better damaging many less grooves.

Don’t buy unless you have time to go find needed assembly hardware at the store. Handle requires installation but there are no nuts in the package.

This oversized block is a necessity for plank flooring. We started with the all-in-one kit with the smaller block, but it just doesn’t work as well. I was hesitant to spend the extra money on this, but it was so worth it. Getting the planks seated without denting the tongue and groove is much easier with this large block. Highly recommend.

It breaks the tongue. Use a extra piece to protect it or buy something else.
