I bought these boots, which are the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought in my entire life. I needed something with a good art support and as well as support on the top of my foot because I have bone spurs. I love these boots. They’re very comfortable right off the bat I could walk for a long time in Them. There is 1 issue, is that it pulls my socks down because my heel slips a little bit, but that could be just my foot and nothing to do with the boot. I’m going to buy a pair of heel supports to see if it will eliminate the problem. I bought A pair of Taos boots 12 years ago for riding a motorcycle and I can still walk for weeks in them day after day. They’re amazing pair of boots.I love them. I wanted to love these, however, they have a very odd fit. Fine at the toe, but run large everywhere else and your heel slips up and down (even with thick socks). Sizing down would have only pushed my toe too far forward. Just trying to adjust to them around the house resulted in a heel blister quickly. For the price - I’d definitely pass. ... show more

I returned the first pair, size 41, then purchased the size 40 that just arrived. I normally wear a 10 to 10-1/2. The original pair was too long too long and too wide. But the 9 1/2 it fit well. A little close on the toe, but not touching on the left foot, still an odd fit on the right foot, but I found a way to make it work. I love the boots! I’ve been scouring the internet for the perfect pair of black Chelsea style boots and have had to return several because the sole wasn’t right/the shaft didn’t look good with jeans/too clunky/not good enough support. This pair is exactly what I wanted. Comfortable shaft that doesn’t hurt my shins, the contrast of the cork against the black gives them character, and the sole is comfortable/supportive. Absolutely love the look of these boots. Taos shoes in general are usually great on my feet but these are definitely on the smaller side. bought the 11-11.5. I am more of a 10.5 but went up in size to make sure they fit and they're still way small. Had to send them back.
