I read the other reviews so I purchased 4 of these for a 42" window. They're still sparse on the window so I'd have to say triple the amount you think you need. However, I've decided to go with the 4 and then add a white blind behind them. It's going to help the color pop and cover the window at night. FYI on the shorter door window and the window over the sink I am going to wrap the bottom back up to the rod which will thicken the fringes. History --- I'm working on make the kitchen over in fun colors. I have the table painted wild and bright so finding a curtain was an issue. I didn't want it to fight with the table colors but wanted bright. When I found these, I knew they'd be perfect. I used these as a backdrop for my birthday and hung them in front of a white sheet and it was exactly what I was looking for. They definitely need something behind them if they're for taking photos in front of, but not if they're for an entry way.

No matter what color you buy, they all cling at you as you walk through them. Don't let a cat get tangled in them. They get knotted easy as well. However, they are pretty and none have fallen apart.

What I did not like about the product is the fact that I would have to spend up to $60 to cover one window that is not very big at all to get the effect needed. I put up some extra curtains, however it wasn't enough for the value. In my opinion it should have been two for $10

First off, you will need multiple of these if youโ€™re going for a dense look. I had to order 8 of these for a 3 feet space. Even If youโ€™re going for a sheer look, you will at least need at least 4 of these for 3 feet width. The picture shown is with 4 of these in the 3 feet space. If you do end up ordering multiple, they are all of different length. There was a difference of 5 inches between the shortest and longest ones that I received. I bought 4 for a 40 inch doorway, and it does an ok job. It came a bit tangled, running my fingers through it undid them. Honestly, I can be an air head, I thought these were gonna be beaded, so theyโ€™re not really what I was hoping for- but iโ€™m content with what I got. My cat keeps going for them though, trying to chew on the strings, so these will just be my training curtains until he chills out and i can get beaded ones. Moved into a new place after Michael hit the Gulf Coast so on a quest to keep the colors bright in the house.. We have a open doorway between the living room and what is now my office/tech room.. Thought about a few options but the fabric option seemed to be the best and a lil 'fun'... First if your going to use these for anything.. do so just as you would curtains.. multiple panels look better.. In our case, as decoration for the open doorway, I did not want them to be "closed", they were hung on either side and compressed to about 1/3 of their length allowing a walking space between.. The strands do go a lil wonkie if they're moved around alot. The construction of the panels is not "top shelf".. the first panels hem around the top is an "8 out of ten" while the second panel is a "3 out of 10" it is sewn crooked and needed some cleaning up.. The length of the strands is inconsistent ..anywhere from a 1/2 to 1in difference.. So if you're going bohemian and crafty there right spot on..if you're looking for tidy splash of colors.. you'll want to trim them up.. ... show more
