Overall this is a very nice bookcase. It is very sturdy and is perfect for my needs. The reasons I could not give it 5 stars are: 1. The "instructions" are extremely inadequate. Fortunately this is not my first time putting things like this together. 2. They don't tell you that you need a phillips screwdriver, wood glue, or a mallet. Actually they don't tell you much of anything. 3. As you can see from the 2 pictures I included there is a problem which I unfortunately did not discover until it was too late. There are wooden dowels that help hold the unit together (I used glue in all the dowel holes). Unfortunately I didn't drive 3 of them deep enough into their holes. When I added the side piece and was tapping it in place those dowels pushed through the particle board and caused the damage you see. Fortunately that side of the bookcase is up against a wall or I would be very unhappy. Get help putting this together, it took 2 of us about an hour to assemble it. The unit is very sturdy and I do like that they include stickers to put over the cams.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my wife primarily to have a place to store her books rather than in drawers and she loved it, as you can see she decorated it and it looks great with the color theme of the room. I love how it's not too big and bulky, so it won't take up much space in a small bedroom, but it is still big enough to store all kinds of things with books being just one of them! Building it was very easy and straightforward. You barely need any tools at all. It feels nice and sturdy and you can tell they didn't cheap out with the quality like some other furniture I've had in the past. Overall it's great and it deserves 5 stars!
