When you take it out of the box, you shouldn't be overwhelmed because there are several components. Anyone can put it together if I can do it all by myself. Pay close attention to the diagram and follow the guidelines exactly as written. They are rather easy to comprehend. Make sure the shelves are facing the proper way. It's quite simple to put together if you do that. The cabinet appears to be quite solid overall. There is no wall space or linen closet in my bathroom. The cabinet was the ideal size for my limited area. The calculations are accurate. If I ever needed another, I would purchase it again. I like this cabinet because it has a small footprint. It fits in the corner of my dining room perfectly. The shelves in it are spaced just right for putting all my dog's stuff in. All her clothes fit on the top shelves and her leashes and harnesses fit on the bottom shelves. I had some difficulty assembling it because I am not that handy, but I figured it out in the end. It probably would be easier if two people were assembling it. The color is perfect (Black) because it matches the sideboard that I also have in the dining room. I purchased this cabinet for a future, small bathroom, remodel. It will hold a lot of items! However, I decided to assemble it early and try it out in my small kitchen as that will also need a remodel soon. I am planning for a small cabinet by my refrigerator and this cabinet size works well. Because it is so sturdy, i am trying out storing pantry items in it to see if it does well in the kitchen. As of now, I can see that it holds a lot and that is important in small rooms. This is a rather heavy cabinet but one person can assemble it if care is taken and the good directions followed exactly. As an "over 80" senior (with an arthritic back) I was able to assemble this cabinet on a carpeted floor myself without help. Then, if help is needed to set it upright, the top can be attached and the cabinet moved to the desired location. (Assembling this near the final location is helpful.) I’ve put together many if not all pieces of furniture that I own. Have NEVER experienced this before. The engineered wood is like paper! I realize it’s not “real” wood but I’ve worked with engineered bed frames, book shelves, annd cabinets. None of them broke and fell apart like this with minimal pressure. Amazon and company response “not eligible for return” and like many other companies they ask you to ship it back and pay for shipping. It’s heavy. If you have no car and live in an apt bldg forget it. The directions, like someone else mentioned, are worthless unless you’ve built furniture like this before. Save your money and try something else. This is going into the dump. ... show more
