This key fob cover is so perfect. It was easy to install the key fob for my 2018 S model in place inside the cover and its fits securely. I saw this and was intrigued so I gave it a try. It's interesting, it protects your key fob for your Tesla, if you have this type of key fob. It is prone to scratches which make it look old and ugly. My wife prefers the key fob because it's more efficient to lock the car vs her phone. I'm not sure if she really needed this but she is trying it. It's a little on the large size which could be a blessing (easy to find your key on the counter) or a curse (big in your pocket). That said, I gave it a high rating because it is high quality and I believe it will last a long time. It will definitely protect the key fob. The only thing I didn't like was the key fob string - it is not well made or designed. It also came with a ring but neither was needed anyway so that was not an issue. ... show more

Unfortunately this did not fit my fob. It was warped. But after seeing it, I don’t really see how it would stay snugly together either way. I was really looking forward to using this. The way it snaps together, I cannot even see the seams. it's great for a guy like me who lost the rear battery cover and hated, yes hated the design of the original fob since it didn't attach to ANY key ring. A bit tricky to get get on, but fits nicely, looks good maintains functionality and most import has its own clip.

I just purchased a used Model S and the two fobs I have are a little banged up and without the silicone deal they typically come with. This item was a very, very snug fit (took a few tries to figure it out) but that is exactly what I wanted and preferred. If anyone is struggling with putting the fob in the best approach I found was to slide it in from its side... NOT from top or bottom.
